I bid you all a good night

We have had my daughter in volleyball since she was 5, she's 9 now. I'm not sure about her heighth either, I am 6'2" and her mom is like 5'3 or 4" lol, but the wifes dad and brother are in the 6 foot area. I am hoping she'll be tall, but I am guessing probably average it out around 5'8" or so lol.
all the men in my family are over 6' and on my dads side i have some over 6' females so it will all depend. she had never expressed interest in sports until this year for actually participating shes just been doing band and orchestra (flute and violin) if she keeps growing tho she could be one of these 6' girls, the wife is only 5'7" (5'6" depending on the day)

Nebraska won't get Louisville. The Badger gonna eat them Cardinal's lunch. Then, that big, red W will will be waiting.
Big Red show down in the B1G for the whole shabang! i can get on board with this.

Either will be a good chance to get revenge given that Nebraska lost to Louisville and Wisconsin this year. Gotta get past Pitt first though.

Confirming the leak. Where there's smoke there's fire.

This is a weird hire. I'm curious the contract details.

If you were to take all the coordinators for the last 40 years that have made the jump to HC and categorized them as flops or successes and used it in an odds algorithm, I'd think the chances of Lanning being successful would be under 20%.

By 'success' I mean they met the expectations for where they got the HC gig.
It’s not that hard to be successful in the PAC although to be fair it could be harder with the new coaching hires. I don’t know if Lanning knows his X’s and O’s or had his position because of recruiting but if it’s because of recruiting then it can work out. You can hire quality coordinators and lets be honest a recruiter is really what Cristabol was. The cupboard isn’t bare and if he put together a top 25 class that’s probably enough this year then fill in holes with the portal.

I‘m curious if Chip said no or the boosters really didn’t want him. I’m not sold that Chip is out in a year as how is UCLA going to do much better.

Dude, you could recruit to Kirby Smart's Georgia.

Lanning didn't get there until 2018 and was LB coach under Mel Tucker that first year. Mel left for Colorado placing Lanning into the DC position.

Therefore, the Georgia 2018 signing class and earlier rankings had absolutely nothing to do with Lanning.

2018 (#1), 2017 (#3), 2016 (#6), 2015 (#6), 2014 (#8),

Lanning's been recruiting to Kirby Smart's Georgia. Now he will have to recruit to Lanning's Oregon.

There are some other things I'm noticing in my due diligence on the Lanning/Georgia thing that leaves question. i.e. Why Muschamp was brought in in 2021 to hold his hand? It was admitted by Kirby that Muschamp was brought in as an analyst to "coach the coaches".

In 2020 (Lanning's 2nd season) Georgia regressed to....

12th in Total Defense
16th in Scoring Defense
124th in Red Zone Defense
88th in Passing Yards Allowed

They had the horses via recruiting (prior to Lanning), they just weren't being lined up right in 2020. Enter Muschamp in 2021.

There are more signs of this guy simply being a product of where he was and who he was surrounded by, than him being the next great head coach. As a coordinator taking the next step, the odds of success are way way against him to begin with. Let alone him only being a coordinator for 3 years where everything fell into his lap.

Looking forward to seeing Lanning's contract details. I'd imagine they're in line with a high risk coordinator. $4 - $5 million for 4 or 5 years.

i.e. Oregon went the cheap route. That lessens the pain if things don't work out with the gamble.

I don't necessarily blame Oregon for this as even the big name coaches being shuffled around this go-round are a gamble at the going rate of $7.5 million for 10 years.

What is more interesting to me than the fact they went with an unproven assistant is they went with a defensive one.

Their offense needs help. A lot of help. They were at their best with Kelly when he was running an innovative offense.

This hire is a change switching focus to the D. And At a time when their offense is down.

Certainly will be interesting to watch.

i like our chances for both, Wisconsin didnt beat us as much as we just didnt play to win when we faced them. I think this team is hungry for it, enough to snatch the dub

Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I am still curious... was Chip Kelly actually offered the job, at any point? :noidea:

I don’t think so. But if Canzanos theory is debunked, he will need another story to explain why his initial reporting was incorrect
