I catch ‘em when I go!

Got caught in a pretty good thunderstorm this weekend with heavy rain and I'm guessing 60 mph winds. Didn't have time to make it to the boat ramp so beached the boat and tied it up, ran to the truck as it's pouring down rain only to get there and realize the keys are still in the boat.

It was a good laugh after at least.

made friends with some salt water fly fishermen over the weekend at a local fishing fair and hoping that turns into some trips out on the Potomac to get me some striped bass and maybe some local trips to go for local trout.

I also volunteered to stock trout in a river north of DC, which was kind of a waste of time and gas money...but found a couple new fishing holes to do some fly fishing.

lookng to get out of my kayak some more this spring too

This year’s Striper trip wasn’t as productive as past years. It rained and the wind was gale force on 2 of our 4 days. Wednesday evening was by far the best bite of the trip.

Here's a little photo dump from some of my fishing/camping trip highlights. The 3 walleye pictured were on top of the plates we fried up earlier in the week (took these 3 home). Great year for eater walleyes at the lake, all like 17-19 inches.
