You wanted it, you bought it, and then later wished you had not

Mine though would be just about every hobby I've ever had. I stick with a hobby for about 3-6 months then never again. RC planes, various gym equipment, metal lathe, etc

I bought a 8 wt fly rod for fishing out on the Chesapeake but I have not used it. I use my lighter weight rods more for trout.

one of these days I will go fly fishing for striped bass.

fishing equipment is a good one. I have a lot of money in rods and reels, and probably more in lures. Lots of nice lures that have never touched the water :L

There is another. About 20 years ago I just up and decided I'll buy a fly rod from Cabella's. Never been in my life. It frustrated the hell out of me

Back to the golf clubs, the only use they get these days is when @SlinkyRedfoot stops over and rides them around like Happy Gilmore

you never know when you might need that specific lure though...

Years ago, before my kid was born, I wanted a boat but not one I had to store. Brilliant idea...bought a Sea Eagle. Got one with solid floors and the motor mount. Deep cycle battery and trolling motor. Then found out Texas requires even tiny trolling motor boats to be registered. That was a fucking nightmare but got it registered.

Took it out twice. Hasn't been inflated in over a decade. Battery long dead. Trolling motor still out there. All the safety gear, anchor, air horn, etc required by the state still up in a box beside it. :L
