Impulsive purchase you later had the regurts for

@Hu War Yu just up and buys houses like he's Joe Walsh. I don't think I am even comfortable talking to him anymore because he's so rich
He was just standing in line at the mortgage office and they had houses listed by the register. So he picked a few up for the kids.

Back to the golf clubs, the only use they get these days is when @SlinkyRedfoot stops over and rides them around like Happy Gilmore

When I first got into golf, I bought a lot of used equipment off of Craig's list. Ended up with some real antique clubs that way. A lot of them are tucked away in the basement somewhere and my kids will end up throwing them out when I'm dead.

Years ago, before my kid was born, I wanted a boat but not one I had to store. Brilliant idea...bought a Sea Eagle. Got one with solid floors and the motor mount. Deep cycle battery and trolling motor. Then found out Texas requires even tiny trolling motor boats to be registered. That was a fucking nightmare but got it registered.

Took it out twice. Hasn't been inflated in over a decade. Battery long dead. Trolling motor still out there. All the safety gear, anchor, air horn, etc required by the state still up in a box beside it. :L
I got into racing sailboats in my 30s and bought a small 16 ft sailboat that I just couldn't find time to get in the water

I turned around and sold it at a loss but whatever.

Yep, got a set of four. Driver, 3, 4 and 5 woods. They have steel shafts so they're not ancient. I've taken them to the driving range and played at least one round with them. They're a lot of fun to hit, the feedback is awesome.

I've always liked the idea of golfing or playing tennis with old clubs or racquets

I played a round with my father in laws clubs from the 1980s and it was amazing how different the ball flies.

My first set of tennis racquets were wood. Tiny little heads, almost like badminton racquets.
I have 3 of them in my garage...

I am sure there are some that are worth money, but I don't think mine are.

I had a friend ask me to string her racquet from the 90s and I told her not worth it...just go to Walmart and buy a cheap one there, it's better than what you have

My father in law was a life long golfer and has a lot of cool old hickory and persimmon golf clubs. I'd be scared to hit anything with them, but I also suck at golf.

If you ever get a chance to take one to the range, at least hit 10 or 20 balls with it. When you hit one on the screws, it's a great feeling. I've never hit a hickory shaft, though, I'd be afraid of it breaking on me

I tend to hit the big ball before the small ball way too often to use a hickory shaft. :pound:

I bought a used bass boat that I used like 3 times before I sold it. I prefer rivers and farm ponds to lakes. I’m just glad I was able to get my money
