Impulsive purchase you later had the regurts for

I bought a used bass boat that I used like 3 times before I sold it. I prefer rivers and farm ponds to lakes. I’m just glad I was able to get my money
Floating down the river is the best, did blackwater fishing in south GA until I moved out of state. I never cared for lake fishing either.

There is nobody happier than a man that sold his old boat except the man that bought it.

Have bought a few Firearms I later regreted buying, but still have.
Yeah, I bought a Kimber that, in hindsight, I wouldn't get again.

If I had it to do over again, I'd take that money and buy two Hellcat Pros, one for each hand, and a leather shoulder holster to carry them like Sunny Crocket.

fishing equipment is a good one. I have a lot of money in rods and reels, and probably more in lures. Lots of nice lures that have never touched the water :L
I inherited a lot of my wife's grandfathers fishing gear and he was a dedicated fisherman. There was a Zebco 33 probably from the early 70s along with dozens of lures from the same timeframe with several being in the box and unopened. The Zebco still works fairly well and my grandkids are fishing with it.

When my son started riding motorcycles I decided I would buy us each a new dirt bike. Yep, I bought myself one after not riding one in 15 years. First weekend after buying it we loaded the camper and headed to the dirt pits....

That 1st day I over did it. I learned quickly I was not the same rider from my youth. I could barely walk the next day. Never rode it again.

Two happiest days of a boat owner's life: the day he buys it and the day he sells it

I love to sail but I have no where to keep a boat. I just rent one when I go to the lake every summer

Can't imagine how a dirt bike feels the next day, but I learned a few years ago that I can't even play on a trampoline anymore after visiting one of those parks with my kid. Had fun that day, couldn't stand up straight for days after.

Laugh at old men will ya? Karma is a bitch.

My son almost just bought his first boat but he was going to have to buy a truck to pull it. Now this is the part that makes me think 33andMe just guesses: his wife was all on board, encouraging even, and he decided to buy a house instead. Don't get me wrong, he made a great decision and that shit don't run in my family.

Same, took my kids to one about 10 years ago, I was in my mid-40's. THOUGHT i was in decent shape...

I’ve got a few John boats and a couple old tiller handle motors for going up and down the river. Go to a spot, tie off or just wedge yourself on a flat rock and wear em out

When I first got into golf, I bought a lot of used equipment off of Craig's list. Ended up with some real antique clubs that way. A lot of them are tucked away in the basement somewhere and my kids will end up throwing them out when I'm dead.
I've got a MacGregor 11 Iron (not a typo) that was my dad's in college so its 50+ years old and its my favorite club. I've tried newer pitching wedges but nothing beats that old POS. It looks just like this ($49 on ebay so grab it):

I still use dad’s old putter affectionately referred to as the Billy Baroo. Let’s just say technology has come a long way.
I've found simpler is better with putters. That is another of my clubs that looks like it should go in the trash but I can't replace it because nothing works better.

If you ever get a chance to take one to the range, at least hit 10 or 20 balls with it. When you hit one on the screws, it's a great feeling. I've never hit a hickory shaft, though, I'd be afraid of it breaking on me

Any idea what the loft on that thing is? I'm guessing it's around 56? Like a modern Gap or Approach.

My favorite wedge is my WIlson Triple Duty. Mine has a leather grip:
