In Your Opinion, What Are The Ingredients of an "Eye Test"?

Maybe. I’d have to look at the loss etc.
but now you’re adding an extra inequality.

before you were questioning the concept. I’m glad you are over your duncery. You may take off the pointy hat and get off the stool in the corner.
no i wasnt i was always questioning the reasoning

You first look to see if its your team. If its your team then they look really good. Better or equal to their record

Then if its not your team you look to see if its a team your team played. If it is then that team is clearly really good and even better than their record ESPECIALLY if they beat your team

Then if its not your team or a team they played you look to see if its a team ranked ahead of your team. If it is then tbeyre clearly overrated and have many weaknesses if only other equally weak teams theyve played wouldve been able to capitalize

If its none of those things then you "havent watched them enough to really know if theyre good but your first impression is theyre not"

Insert 3.5: Uniforms look good.

I literally quoted you. Quit while you’re behind.
and what wording in there suggests i didnt understand the concept but rather was asking for a reason? like i said i understand that people think this way but not the why.
its the same question people have when a team wins yet somehow falls in the rankings. well they didnt win by enough but they still won instead a different team jumps them for beating a FCS team by 50. no reason just the thinking that winning bigger means better.

No you were not asking. You were using a rhetorical device commonly referred to as a rhetorical question.
“Why is A different than B? They’re the same thing.” IS EXACTLY THE TEMPLATE YOU USED. YOU WERE CLAIMING THEY WERE THE SAME.

Again, you can try to backpedal and use sophism, but neither I nor anyone else is going to buy it.

you were clearly stating they were the same thing and that the concept had no merit. I called you out on your wrongness.

You’re a dunce, and now a dishonest one.

I say win/loss record above all else, but with some consideration given to SOS. Not bashing any team, but Michigan State is undefeated. Yet, they have played no team with above 0.500 record. Nebraska is 3-5 currently, but they have played three undefeated teams in that stretch and lost by a TD or less in most of them. Coastal Carolina? Don't get me started. They have played three teams with one win each. A lot of factors go into the eye test, and we can't see every play of every game. Was a team's d-line being dominated? Was the QB injured for most of the game/season? Did they improve as the season went along? I would love for the season to stop right now, so no more injuries happen and see Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Wake Forest (if we have to), Michigan State, and Oklahoma in a playoff.
