Wasn't Jamarcus Russell the over #1 pick and within 2-3 years, he wasn't even on a team anymore?

Of course there are bigger busts at QB (certainly not any worse than Urban Meyer at head coach). I was just pointing out that the Jags have the dubious distinction of likely having the most overrated QB/HC tandem ever.

The issue is skills vs. mental hold ups.

These QBs have the skills and NFL people think they can unlock them at the next level. Sometimes that works and sometimes it just does not.

Physically, Will Levis and Anthony Richardson probably make sense as an NFL-prototype QB but do they have the mental aspect to succeed is to be seen.

NFL GMs really get suckered into the "Strong ARM!" craze.

Problem with Levis and especially Richardson is that outside of a strong arm, they don't do much else well.

Any GM that would use a 1st round pick on Richardson should be fired on the spot.

I think in the case of these 2 it doesn't work more often than it does.
 
It's like the NBAs hang-up on TALL AND ATHLETIC!

Yea, Athleticism is off the charts, but they can't shoot, dribble or really play defense at all.
