It’s Friday...who is ready?

Yes. It's money taken out of your check pre tax. You have to use it that year, though. This is the first year I've done it, since I knew I was having lasik.

FWIW, HSA isn't a benefit that needs negotiated. As long as you qualify for one, anyone can open one (I believe). Last time I looked, my plan did not qualify.

he's a union worker, they most likely have a negotiated employer contribution

got an app for toll roads in Illinois.

I think I found one for Virginia

toll roads are the worst
Like it automatically pays if you go through?

That would be handy. Also, do you mean West Virginia?

Yeah, probably. It would be pretty much just like an employer match to 401k

I avoid toll roads with a passion.

You need a high-deductible plan to be able to have an HSA. I like it because they don't expire and my employer just tosses logs in there like it's fun.

Let me know when you can use them to get up the mountain.
It can be done.

It just takes a really long time.

i would like to, but unavoidable without lengthy detours.

There are no tolls road in MN and my experience with them was dated, didn't even occur to me there could be an app, so i thought was clever to organize change so I could pay exact change lane, but toll app said I would need ~20 of change for my trip. Than found apps.

The App for VA isn't free, but has free 30 day trial, so will use that. Just need to make sure it's not when i go through IL, because it'll also pay IL tolls

There is small fee to use the app, my friend thinks I'm cheap so i texted to get them going, a fee to use the app? F that I'll wait in line

An HSA would be nice. I can't complain too much about my health insurance, though, when I don't pay for it.

Fargo had a toll bridge until 5 years ago. One. Single. Toll Bridge that connected it to Minnesota.

Nevermind there are a dozen free bridges that did the exact same thing around town, some people still chose to pay $.75 to cross a bridge that they could do for free 5 blocks north or south.

What's the benefit to doing what you did as opposed to HSA?

What do you consider high-deductible?

Mine's only $4k. I don't consider that too high. Also, what the fuck does tosses logs in there mean?

It's snowing, yay me.
