JUST GIVE US A CALL

Most of the SEC doesn't have the ability to compete with the elite SEC programs. You say nothing.

:pound:. It was probably a kind of smart move for USC/UCLA to go but I just wanted to rib the B1G on inability to win at high level.

You say that but since 2000, 5 different Current SEC teams and 2 Future SEC teams have won National Titles. If you go 2 years before, that number goes up to 6 different Current SEC teams.

In that span only one current B1G team and one future B1G team have won titles.

Are they Elite because they won a natty 23 years ago?

? LSU won in 2019, that is literally 4-5 years ago. Georgia won this year, Alabama last year. Florida and Auburn have been a little longer. However, that is better than anything B1G has done.

Under your definition, only Ohio State is elite. It is basically a one-team league.

One Elite team league. No argument. SEC being a 4,5,6,8 Elite team conference is ludicrous.

SEC has, at the very least, three Elite teams right now Alabama, Georgia, and Texas A&M. If they add Oklahoma and Texas, Oklahoma could be four.

Auburn, Florida, LSU, Texas, and probably even Tennessee are a coach and 2-3 recruiting classes away from being elite.

I really don't see anyone in B1G except Ohio State and USC Trojans capable of meeting that level. Maybe Michigan but they really showed what they were about by folding in the Playoff. Whenever a non-Ohio State B1G team has gone into the playoff, it has been very ugly.

I see Alabama as the only Elite. The rest are not on their level, yet.

Let me put it to you this way,

Tennessee, yes my Vols who have been the laughing stock for our shitty run the last 15 years, has won a MORE RECENT title than anyone in the Current B1G not named Ohio State.

Now that is a burn.

Sounds like Oregon may be the next Notre Dame. Big-time independent

I ultimately think B1G grabs them, maybe not yet.

I think Oregon and either Colorado or Washington will end up in B1G. The rest are SOL or going to Big12.

Big Ten definitely is the Champions at $$$ but if you look outside of $$$, it really isn't that competitive of a Football Conference with only Ohio State even showing the ability to compete with Elite SEC programs.
Michigan State owns the best team in the SEC soooo…..

Only if you consider nattys as the only measurement. I consider consistently upper crust as more reliable.

Longest bowl appearance streak:

Georgia 25 years
Oklahoma 23 years
Wisconsin 20.

Perhaps interrupted by ban streaks should be included, I think Ohio State would be there and a few others.

And I wouldn't consider Wisconsin Elite, but it ain't chicken shit, either.

Bowl streaks are worthless and I’m glad UGA doesn’t really acknowledge it

Oregon is NOT getting a call from the BIG cause the BIG is scared… Well Ohio State is after that arse beating Oregon gave em and Ohio State runs that league so..

I’d welcome the Ducks in the SEC west TBH. LSU fans in Eugene would entertain me..

I said this last year, Oregon needed to leave this PAC conference. Oregon was too big for the PAC-12, it needed to be in a bigger, more sustainable and more competitive conference. The SEC would provide the appropriate challenge. Hell, I guess I'd take the Big Ten since we went into the horseshoe and beat their prized position of a program in Ohio State, but that is also why I could see why the Big Ten doesn't call us, they don't want to hurt the, THE Ohio State brand and that historic horseshoe of a place.

no one wants an empty trophy case and this what Oregon is.... just sayin
