I never read the books, and have never heard anything about them (I was aware the movie was based on comics, though), so I can’t compare the movie to the source. But I rather enjoyed the movie. Very entertaining and it left me wanting more at the end. I believe I said at the time that I thought it would have worked better as a series than a movie.

and it was totally a superhero movie. Why don’t you think a story about “immortals” wouldn’t be about superhero’s?

Mainly because of Poul Anderson's book. I don't think the comic was based on the book, just that the story reminded me of certain aspects. I don't see immortality as a super power. Just my impression.
 
I'm going to watch the Peter Jackson remix of the Beatles going away movie.

I remember watching the original on network TV.
 
Watched Jungle Cruise last night. Sort of a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and Indiana Jones and it was an entertaining 2 hours.

In a line of fire..........Seen this one a few times also..........Another 10 for me.
 
Watched Unforgivable on Netflix.

Solid movie. Probably not too memorable, though. Bullock did a great job in the lead. The character was supposed to be about 45ish, I think, but I like that they got an attractive older woman for the role to show how her hard life has made her look much older than her actual years. I wouldn’t be shocked if Bullock got a Best Actress nom for this one. Not sure it is win-worthy, but she was very good.

Just finished CopShop. Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo, Alexis Louder and a bunch of actors I don't know.

Meh, I didn't quit on it so it has that going for it. Lots of shooting, a little humor and a believable level that is pretty weak. 5/10
 
Watched Scarface (1983) for the first time. Well, about 3 quarters of it anyway.

Great fucking movie. 9/10.


Saw Hereditary (2018) this morning. Solid horror flick, pretty creepy. The acting was pretty good.

7.25/10.
 
Finally watched the Eternals. It is a "avoid at all costs" from me. My grading scale is either skip, meh, or watch it!. If I ever have to look at my watch or hit pause to see how much time is left, it goes straight to "skip". Wasn't sure that a Marvel movie could be so boring, predictable, and lacking any excitement but they managed to pull it off.

Pro tip.

On most remotes hit the up arrow, it'll tell you how much time is left and no need to pause
 
Found The Thing in HDR Atmos on Netflix.

Love that film. Love the ending.

And the clarity was amazing considering the age of the film.

Never even heard of that, and I can't tell from the trailer what the hell is even going on. Looks like someone said "lets make a mashup of Thanos + GoT + Ten Rings + Star Wars...oh and get some old ass actors to star in it".

And at about the 1 minute mark does that one chick call another an "emo bitch"?
