The Little Things on Netflix
1/10
It was bad. Like zero redeeming qualities. They tried to get fancy with it by just not telling any background and then trying to spoonfeed it throughout the movie until the big reveal at the end. But it was so fucking confusing and boring that by the time we got to the "oh, that's why" moment I was just pissed off and ready to shut it off.

Acting wasn't good (and big name actors - Denzel, Rami Malek, Jared Leto, Natalie Morales)
writing wasn't good
storyline wasn't good

Just a confusing mashup of a VERY tired "exiled cop" storyline, trying to make it artsy.
So would you recommend?

Yeah that one wasn't bad for free. Pretty much like every other Jason Stathom movie.
I thought it sucked cept action scenes were you know, actiony. And when guy goes off the bridge, I laughed.

Saw X
About a 7.8
I thought the plot was really good. Sort of a different story with some good twists. I will say that these traps, deaths, etc. were rough. I mean it is Saw.

Deadpool and Wolverine. 6/10 because of Hugh Jackman. Too many nauseating references to Disney, Fox and the multiverse. The best scene was the mini-van fight scene between Deadpool and Wolverine. Deadpool's jokes were tedious. I watched it all, but it's not a keeper.

So YOU are the one.

I loved it, and everyone I have spoken too loved it as well. All reviews I have seen have been overwhelmingly positive.

I finally found a copy of the 2023 "The Master and Margarita" with English subtitles. It's my favourite book, the movie is definitely not the same as the novel and there are things that I would have done differently (as I understand it the West cutting off Russia after the Ukraine invasion really limited their access to CGI which probably led to some of the decisions that they made) but I quite liked what they made. It's a difficult book/plot to adapt but I thought the way they handled it was clever and worked pretty well. I'm not nuts about the changes to the ending though. And it needed more Behemoth! He's the best literary cat ever but the CGI limitations probably restricted his role. I'll say 7.5 out of 10.

What You Wish For
Hulu
About a 7.6 out of 10.
Man takes another dude's identity. Has to fulfill chef duties but with a twist. Decent suspense, drama, a twist here or there. The thing about this movie, is I could totally see something like this happening. Maybe a stretch, but not by much.

Brothers
Prime
6 out of 10

Watched the preview and thought it would be funny. Most of the funny moments are in the preview, as is the case with most straight-to-steaming movies. Not sure I'll watch it again, though there were a couple of lines that I remember thinking could make their way into my quote repertoire so might need to go back and give it another watch. Overall not a waste of time, I never checked the time to see how much movie was left, and the plot was just the right balance of predictable and "oh SHIT!!!" to keep it interesting.

Synopsis is a comedy where two brothers are screw ups from the get go because of bad parenting and despite one trying to straighten up gets pulled back into the family drama. I won't give any spoilers, but if you watch it then the Samuel part is pretty hilarious.

Easy Rider

Takes me back. Fabulous sounds.

Brothers

6/10

Likable cast. Had some laughs but you could tell it was a made for streaming
Exactly my thoughts. I am planning to go back and watch it again because there were a couple of lines in there that I think would be pretty quotable.

"you have to SIT and EAT MEAT" still makes me giggle.

You would watch this movie twice?

Conclave
in theatres
5.5/10

A well-done “thriller” with some pacing problems with a final “twist” that is completely unnecessary and leaves one wondering what the movie’s message actually is.

Brothers
Peter Dinklage and Josh Brolin

2/10

Heavy hitters in the cast, but this slapstick comedy led by Ethan Coen was not good
