Sean Penn cuts his own dick off.

Mel and the director both swore off the project. And the director isn’t even credited by name. Not sure what they were angry about. I enjoyed it.

I remember this book but I didn't know (until now) that they had made a movie.

It’s on Netflix. Shot in 2016, didn’t come out until 2019.


I didn’t know the book existed until after I watched the movie. Guessing the book deals more with William Chester Minor more than the movie was able to. A retired army doctor having the funds to own his own private ancient library was something I could’ve used some backstory on while watching. (I’ve researched since. The “American” doctor is a rather loose label.)
 
Firestarter (2022)

Rotten Tomatoes had it at 11%. That's generous.

Bad writing, bad editing, bad directing. Zac Efron isn't really that bad an actor but he seems to have been overwhelmed with suck by everything else about the movie.

Watch the 1984 version and stay away from this flaming turd.

If wanna watch Mi hael Myers kill people in gruesome ways,its thpe of flick.....

Itsfull of bad acting,same old type of Halloween move.......

I give it 1.5......not good at all.....watchedit tillthe end just to seee if this is the final one........
 
Bye Bye Birdie

Dick Van Dyke, Janet Leigh (Jaimie Lee's mom), Paul Lynde, Ann Margaret.

Essentially a campy look at a rock star getting drafted a la Elvis.

Stellar cast and I loved it.

The Last Full Measure

This movie is based upon a true story. A member of the Air Force fought in Vietnam at one of the earliest and bloodiest battles of that war. Despite going above and beyond the call of duty, he was denied the CMH. This movie is about the efforts of those who served with him to get him awarded the CMH. Be sure to watch and pay attention to the cast as they are listed at the beginning of the movie. It is literally one big name after another.

Great story and a great cast. Mostly a dialogue movie as opposed to action but based upon the subject matter that is to be expected. I give a solid 7.5 out of ten. That may even be a little light.

I rewatched The Godfather trilogy this past week.

Part one is arguably the greatest movie ever made. 10/10

Part two is good, but how anyone can claim it is better than part 1 is beyond me. 9/10

I watched the re-edit of part three. I don’t think I have seen this one since it was originally in the theaters. Still boring af. It has none of the family charm of the first 2 movies. It is just a bunch of unlikable criminals doing criminal things. And incest. Wtf? 4/10

Just watched it.

Dont pay attention to the science. They don’t really even try to explain how anything works.

Given that, it was an enjoyable movie, but I can’t forgive a Sci-fi movie that doesn’t even attempt to explain the Sci-fi portion.

5/10 after a 2 point penalty.
 
The Gentlemen

Not your typical gangster movie. Pretty funny. Great cast! Well written. Clever plot. Not a fan of the British accents but a good movie. Worth watching.

Watched Inside Llewyn Davis for the first time since the first time in the theater.

Really wasn't all that great.
Slow is maybe the best word.

Great movie.

Doesn't seem much different todat.
