Taxi Driver
Hadn't seen it in 20 years.
Still intense.

I know this one is loved. I haven't seen it. I can't imagine Sean Penn is truly funny.I watched Fast Times for the first time in probably 30 years the other night. I was still essentially quoting each line as they were spoken. What a classic fucking movie. And surprisingly, only 3 scenes of nudity. What a prudish movie compared to today’s standards.
10/10
While he apparently went full “method” on set (he was actually stoned for most of his scenes and he insisted on being called “Jeff” on set), there is no pretension in this role. It is just a fun character.I know this one is loved. I haven't seen it. I can't imagine Sean Penn is truly funny.

Barbarian
It's now on HBOMax, feel like I head heard good things about it, a lot of nice hype/buzz while it was in theatres. It wasn't deserving of the hype I heard. Shot well, acted well, etc... I won't say anymore as the hype was about, don't learn anything about the movie, just watch it... well I did. I'll leave you to come to your own marks.
5/10
The premise is thin. The production value is low. No real acting talent to speak of. Why is this movie so damn good?It Follows - 8/10
One of the better horror movies I've seen in a while.
I detest Sean Penn but in Fast Times and At Close Range he was flawless.I know this one is loved. I haven't seen it. I can't imagine Sean Penn is truly funny.
Can't wait to see it.All Quiet on the Western Front - 9/10
I probably would have given it a 10 but i saw it at home rather than in theaters. Epic film. Netflix did a great job with this one.
It's a bit unique. I think the director and the way they use the "it" is what makes it so creepy. The premise is thin. The production value is low. No real acting talent to speak of. Why is this movie so damn good?
