I do that with rib roast I get from Costco to cut into steaks.. Keep a few fresh ones, but the rest get the deep freeze.If they freeze it while it's relatively fresh, there shouldn't be any problems.
I cook from frozen a lot, because I usually buy family packs of stuff and I'm not just eating, say, pork chops for three days straight. Wouldn't necessarily do that with a package of ribeyes or porterhouses, though.
