Let's talk about pizza

This is what I battle with about it.

Sometimes I want to make a homemade pizza that involves making the dough for an hour+.

The amount of times I want to do that is like twice a year.

So why would I buy an ooni?

But I want one...
Same, although we make home made pizzas 3-4 times a year, I still am not sure it justifies the cost.

There are also a couple really good pizza places around us. If that wasn't the case, I'd probably make it more often.

That's why this thing that @outofyourmind has brought to us is kind of intriguing to me.

A traditional Montreal pizza looks like this pic. The "toppings" so to speak are underneath the cheese. There's a lot of pepperoni, not just the dozen or so slices you often see burnt to a crisp on top but loads of overlapping slices. Grew up on this. If I lived in the US, I'd have to find a good mom & pop Italian restaurant to do one up for me.

It's Canada. I once went to an Italian restaurant in Toronto and asked for some fresh garlic. They didn't have any. At an Italian restaurant. Fucking crazy.

That said, the best filet I've ever had was from a steakhouse in Toronto, so I have good things to say about our hat too.

Fucking hell.

I like good pizza. Can't make that on a Pizzazz.

I wouldn't make a pizza with a Boboli Pizza Crust, but even if I did, I couldn't bring myself to cook it on a Pizzazz.
Disclosure: I'm not a 'food porn' guy. Rarely do I desire or achieve pleasure from eating and cooking is not a personal hobby. Eating is more of a 'necessary evil' to me. Therefore, if provided the options of spending two and a half hours of my time by:
A) tossing a DiGiorno on a Pizzazz while watching some playoff hockey
or
B) hand-preparing and baking a homemade 'brick oven' pizza
...I'm choosing A 100% of the time.

I figured and understand.

Speaking of food porn, has anyone seen my tube sock laying around?

Threw these on the zgrill not too long ago. BBQ chicken for me and half sausage/ pepperoni for the kiddos. The little bit extra taste from the pellet grill over the oven is nice.20230310_163719.jpg
