Lettuce take a look at the pours in the SEC ...

They have no idea what it takes to win a conference title in the SEC. Most years it is harder than a natty.

My favorite part of this is to sit back and watch them start talking about how good teams like KY, Miss State and Ole Miss are totally ignoring that they have dissed those teams as easy wins for years.
You do know they don’t even know what it takes to win Big 12 title either, don’t you?

OU does….though they may have forgotten already.

Prior to the CFP -- it absolutely was harder to win a conference title than a natty in the SEC. With the CFP -- it has changed that, but it is still the toughest conference to win in college football. I am not sure how they are going to do the "pods" or whatever once Texas and OU are in the SEC, but having to go thru Bama or Georgia to just win your division is going to be extremely tough, but then, you have go thru one of them to win the conference too.

Texas may not see a conference title in the SEC for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time.

That's why I have no clue why either school wants to make the jump. The money for the school is nice, but it will do absolutely nothing to help the football programs any time soon. They would need Saban to die and Georgia to be given some sort of NCAA death penalty and I don't even think there is a NCAA anymore.

If you are counting on that, good luck. Mizzou came into the SEC when it was the furthest down that it has ever been. UTjr was shitting the bed with their coaching hires, UF had come of 2 NCs and Meyers left, and UGA was in the downside of Richt.

Meanwhile, Pinkle was peaking in both the B12 and the SEC. In 2014 they lost to UGA 34-0 at home, but we lost to USCjr and UF so they won the east. Both times they were destroyed by the West champion.

You are coming into the SEC where there are no divisions, so you will play 4-5 of LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, ATM, Tenn, Oklahoma, and then other middling teams like Arkansas, Ole Miss, USCjr, etc. If you are counting on a Mizzou 2013-2014 run, good luck with that.

As I have said in another thread, I suspect you will be more competitive that people are thinking. You are recruiting well. Jury still out on Sark. So who knows.
Funny how you mention no divisions and it's gonna be harder.. that would also impact y'all.. But we'll see soon enough #HookEm

there are no pods.. it's just 3 permanent rivals and a rotation of games vs everyone else

Yeah -- that's not good for Texas. For the fans of Texas I hope you guys win the Big 12 this year, as it may be your last legitimate chance to win a conference title for a long, long time.

What do you consider a long time? Texas only won three in their history of the Big 12...the last being in 2009.

Soooooooooooo, it won't be much different in the SEC if they can get one in the next 14 years.

I am well aware that it will affect us as well. But we are already used to playing better competition than you guys are.

The saying that "each week in the SEC is tougher" is a real thing and you are about to figure that out. Playing Arky, OM, MSU, Ky ain't like playing ISU, KU, Baylor, TCU. You are going to get beat up even if you win.

Having said that, OU and TX coming in have all the resources to be able to compete at the top, and I expect them to. But you seriously have to ask yourself that if you haven't been able to win in the B12, how is moving into the SEC going to be easier? For your team, you seem to be on the rise, at least from a recruiting perspective. And maybe you have the right coach, although he's never proven he can win at the highest levels.

If you guys can ever quit stepping all over your own dicks, you should be able to do what UGA has done since smart got there, which is basically stop stepping all over our own dicks.

lol bro thanks for telling us what's good for us.. i'm sure i'll be wishing the days that we could be playing Baylor, TCU, Kansas St etc again..

Sure we have been a mess since Mack lost all confidence once Colt went down in 2010.. through the Chuck era (worst coach ever in the history of UT FB btw), the up and downs (mostly self inflicted fiascos) of the 4 years Tom was here..

But we will keep expecting things to straighten out.. this is my generations 1984-1998 walk in the wilderness because as much flack Sarkisian gets.. his roster turnover has been incredible. Will take my chances heading into the SEC next year despite the "brutal scheduling"

1. Get used to being told what to do because that is going to be your new normal.

2. I assure you that longing for the days of playing Kansas, Kansas State, and West Virginia are in your near future.

get used to being told what to do?? lol weren't y'all the ones parroting that UT would have to be added to the East division? Now they decided to go ahead and do a 3-6-6 schedule that had Saban crying..auburn crying.. but UT was cool with it?

lol keep living in that bubble sir.. #BENDthatOldKnee

Auburn hasn't cried about a damn thing.

1. We and Bama have always been in favor of 9 conference game schedule (we play the best teams anyway)
2. Going to 3-6-6 is awesome for us as it makes our schedule actually easier
3. If the SEC kept divisions Auburn would have lobbied to be in the East where we should have been from the beginning and would have cared less where you went

You literally wrote a post that got every single item you listed completely wrong except for Saban crying and that is always an acceptable post.

1. omg welcome to the club you trailblazer
2. is that why y'all positioned yourself to play Vandy instead of MSU?
3. lol no no no.. you were crowing about how UT was going to be put in the corner and have to adjust.. in the East division.. as if we were mizzu lol

Just get ready for Arch the 2 star to jangle his balls in your EZ time and time again

Really? I never would have thought they only had 3, with the way their fan base talks. Maybe when they lose year after year after year, they may as well get paid top dollar for it and let's be honest, Georgia and Bama are much better excuses for not winning than anyone the Big 12 has to offer.

We didn't position ourselves for shit we just got lucky on the Vandy draw but when your other two are Alabama and Georgia it makes sense and nobody sane has anything to bitch about.

You are going to be put in a corner but at no time did I ever bring up which division you would be in because all along I thought we would go with pods of 3 or 4 teams. It's working out well and it will be fun to watch Arkansas extend their winning streak on you.

lol don't worry man, you'll have your turn.. love seeing you jump on the hogs and almost everyone that plays us.. And you think Texas is gonna sit in the corner lol

by the time September rolls around..I think you'll be yelling roll tiide 👀

We always talk lol.. but we really didn't talk anything big til Tom came to the scene.. ESPN guy got way too excited on labor day 2016, when UT beat ND on a hot saturday night.. But we all knew (real fans) that chuck was doomed from the very start when he brought Shawn Watson to Austin..then kept him for year 2...

OK free time is over so get back in the corner.

Thought this was interesting.. so I hear that ND is about to drop Under Armour as it's athletic brand..

I found this article from Forbes who at the time was talking about the record deal UA made to UCLA 12yrs/$280 mil.. well we all know that didn't last long.. but look at the deals and the amounts from 2016..
college-apparel-deals-img.jpg

UCLA dwarfed SC.. UT easily doubled any SEC school in the value..

NIKE really does have a monopoly going on

They have zero clue about the depth it takes to win in the SEC. I can think of two seasons Auburn had the talent to win the conference but by the time we finished the season, we couldn't field a running back that was 100% (that's back to your point about Malzahn running our backs into the ground because that is not an exaggeration).
