Gayest thread of all time. Hands down. If a poster makes a thread professing his love of getting fucked in the ass, it will be less gay than this thread

Yeah, the only thing that bothers me is their bullshit lying. Him saying that this all came together on Sunday morning is total bullshit. Have the honor to at least tell the truth. "I loved it here. I think we accomplished great things. USC made a fantastic offer, one that is really hard to turn down. My family discussed it and we feel it would be a good move for my family.
Don't think that OU can take the moral high ground on "shady and secretive" things, if you know what I mean. It's just the way those things happen.
yeah Tomlin.. wish y'all had hired him.To be fair, he may not be lying. Cowherd said to him during the interview that it felt sudden and Riley said "It was sudden" and went on to explain a bit.
I haven't seen a professionally run coaching search, so I could be wrong and just have finally seen one, but the coaching searches since Pete Carroll left have been circuses. This one was very quiet from USC's side. There was still plenty of speculation because it's USC, but there were really no leaks. The closest anyone came to a leak was Carson Palmer throwing a name out (I forget who it was) that got everyone talking for a minute, but even that was squashed pretty fast.
3. Oklahoma is not facing the prospect of having an Alabama and Georgia in their backyard tacking all of their potential recruits. Oklahoma has a far better recruiting situation to mitigate the losses than Tennessee had in 2009
However, Oklahoma needs to do something quickly.
2. Early signing day is in a couple weeks, not a couple months. Most of the big fish will be gone by then.
3. There are plenty of schools in "Oklahoma's backyard" when you consider that most of the players are not coming from the state of Oklahoma.
Going to the PAC lets him do exactly what he did in the B12. Beat one team - Oregon most likely - each year and you are in the CFP. That isn't the same as playing in the SEC, especially when they go to a 9 game schedule. Also, the money in the PAC won't be SEC/B1G money, but it will be similar to the old B12.
I've not read a single article that would back that up. SEC and B1G are going to blow up the TV world with their TV contracts and network contracts in the next couple years. The problem that the PAC has is they simply don't have the game inventory to demand top dollar, and they don't have the size of alumni followings that they B1G has.The PAC actually may be able to get to SEB/B1G money, or at least close if the new commissioner isn't an idiot like the one they just sent packing.
That moron was more concerned about the PAC having luxury offices than building the conference and focusing on "Olympic sports" was a disaster.
Hopefully, the new commissioner has an understanding of promoting the sport that pays for all of those other sports.
Only one way to find out…Gayest thread of all time. Hands down. If a poster makes a thread professing his love of getting fucked in the ass, it will be less gay than this thread
Oh I was livid with that contract and was screaming for Auburn to let Arkansas have him. That damn contract did nothing but put us at a level of mediocrity for 4 years. The day Jay Jacobs got shown the door was one of my best as an Auburn fan.Gonna say you guys lead the way with Gus' contract that locked you in on him for many years. 7 years at $7 million may seem like chump change at the time, but most people where going WTF when you did that. Because we always loved beating Gus, we thought it was great. But that was the first of the really large buyouts.
Just a couple of notes:I've not read a single article that would back that up. SEC and B1G are going to blow up the TV world with their TV contracts and network contracts in the next couple years. The problem that the PAC has is they simply don't have the game inventory to demand top dollar, and they don't have the size of alumni followings that they B1G has.
The SEC adding TX and OU was one thing ... increasing game inventory. When they move to 9 IC games and some type of 4 team pod/division setup where each teams plays all the other teams at least once every two years, the game inventory each year will be unreal. Just looking at the top 9 schools - AU, UA, LSU, UGA, UF, TAMU, UTjr, and OU and UT - the mix of games you get from them alone each year can't be matched by anyone. That's what the SEC is going to do. Seeing $70+ million per team, per year. I include UTjr only because they still generate large numbers, even though their team has been ass for a long time.
The other problem the PAC has is the time zone. Unless you want to play all your games from 9am - 5pm, you simply have a problem of losing east coast interest. That's a lot of eyeballs you need. USC getting really good won't make that big a difference. BTW, I agree that your previous commissioner was a total idiot. But you have some built in issues that are going to be hard to resolve, IMO.
IMHO the best ran coaching searches are the ones that hold the secrecy. That keeps the press and boosters from having too much sway in the decision. The best thing I heard when Harsin was hired was a commentator saying that if you had a paid "insider" subscription and had no idea the coach was being offered then the committee was doing a good job and your subscription wasn't worth a plug nickel. To be fair, he may not be lying. Cowherd said to him during the interview that it felt sudden and Riley said "It was sudden" and went on to explain a bit.

Yeah we need real-time data here.Only one way to find out…
Absolutely, congrats to the admin and enjoy it. It appears they made a good choice and did it the right way. Doing those two things usually bodes well for all involved.Sounds like you're telling me that I have finally witnessed a professionally run coaching search.
I think you are 100% correct. Riley and Kelly just did something that is very, very rare. They left one of the brand names on their own accord instead of retiring from there or getting fired. Best description I've heard. It is unprecedented to see coaches leaving blue chip programs that are winning at a high level to go to another blue chip program. Take out the money and both look like lateral moves (or in the case of Notre Dame to LSU, that almost looks like a downgrade). However, we are in a new age with massive and unprecedented contract offers as well. Jimbo Fisher type hiring is quickly becoming the norm in the sport.
Tomlin never said thatSo why is he lying saying it all came together quickly exactly? If you look at his deal, it looks like Riley’s representatives said no dice a couple of times….and I am betting Tomlin takes back his I would never leave the Steelers remark after seeing Riley’s deal.
EssentiallyTomlin never said that
No he didntEssentially
