Haven't read all 20 pages, so some may have been posted already. The portal has allowed players to go where they like(coaches have always had this option). There are probably as many opinions of his move as there are posters. "Afraid of the SEC". "More money". One thing they all have in common....opinions. I'll throw mine out there. He probably figures he has a better chance of success at USC than other options. They are a blue blood, even if they've been in a slump awhile. If we're to be honest, not a ton of tough competition in the PAC, other than Ore, Utah and occasionally Stanford. Perhaps even weaker than the B12 has been lately. The reality(although there will be some homers that may debate this) is OU is not going to be a top team in the SEC when they make the jump. OU alumni and fans are used to OU being, at least, at the top of the B12. All one need do is look at this season. All season people have been talking about getting rid of Riley. OU has 2 losses and finishes 3rd(at worst) in the B12. So, just as players transfer to the place they think they may have more success, my guess is that is Riley's thinking. Who among us doesn't strive for that? Yes, some OU fans feel betrayed(some, happy). Other B12 fans are either happy he's going(as he has had much success versus them), or maybe not. SEC fans probably wanted to see him stay as they have had some success versus him. My guess is within a season or two, USC will be respectable again and either be at or knocking on the door of the PAC top. Perhaps Riley wasn't the best fit for OU. Didn't have what it takes to bring another natty to them. Until he announces his reason for the move, we can only throw out our two cents.
