Lions Favs Trade For Lamar Jackson

Guy won the MVP in his 2nd year and feel like he's been on a downward trajectory ever since. People say get him some weapons, his best WR requesting a trade isn't exactly a great look for a QB.
I don't think he did himself any favors and now comes off as a diva.

Baltimore is going to be running Carson Wentz out there this year

Lol at you thinking this is just me. You do realize Brad Holmes the GM has been with Goff for a long time?

The Eagles Lions game a 1 Possession game? Dude the Lions were down 24-14 at halftime with a Goff pick 6. Lions Down 38-21 at the end of 3. Lions score 14 points in Q4. Vintage Goff

Stat geeks  wow
It was a 3 point game with 4 minutes left. That's a 1 possession game. It's not like he threw two Q4 TDs and they still lost by 21. Also Philly went to the SB, not sure if you remembered, so that's hardly a bad loss.

I love stat geeks

What a laugh

Kind of like how I'm endlessly amused by biased dudes that can't defend their stances.

Now you’re just going retarded bud. I’ve told you everything and I’ve seen all need with Goff.

Brad Holmes too. You know who Brad Holmes is?

I love a good Cleveland mentality. A good loser with some stats = “a player we should hang onto that will win eventually”

Thanks for the laugh again.

I think Goff is good enough, but not elite.

he might be able to get a team to that next level but might not.

Wouldn't say he's bitching, more just predicting. Mike Florio (Pro Football Talk), Dan Le Batard, Dez Bryant, Aaron Maybin, and other media personalities have called the Ravens racist, the NFL racist, the owners racist, etc. Considering 4 of the top 5 and 5 of the top 9 highest paid QBs are black, it just gets exhausting listening to the narrative.

This.

He threw a pick 6 and lost the game after some dominance vs prevent in Q4.

Sounds like Goff

Is this where I’m supposed to be impressed? Lol I watched it so many times.

What else do you need to know? Besides that he’s a great mop up QB that almost wins games?

You haven't said anything relevant about Goff at all. "Sure he won 8 of 10 to finish last season on a tear, with 5 of those wins being against playoff teams, but he played terrible back in 2018 so I know what I'm talking about!"

Yeah Brad Holmes, the dude who hated Goff so much he traded for him as his first move in his current role.

I can't fix your level of stupid. Goff has 2 years left on a deal paying him roughly $31m a year, which is a steal in this day an age. He came on very strong last year and showed he can command this offense. If they had even a league-average defense they would've easily been a playoff team and maybe won the division.

If anything, I sense a strong stench of jealousy coming from you because the Rams are heading to the pit of the NFL with their old, overpriced roster while Goff is leading an exciting offense into a season where they could very well win their division.

LMAO they weren't running prevent you dolt. Neither Philly nor Seattle were running prevent, thanks for proving you didn't even watch the game. You're just bitter that Goff is in a way better place than the Rams currently are.

If you are wanting just a possible playoff appearance and then some stinkers sure. Groom the next QB under him. And keep building the defense. I can dig that
I say draft a second tier QB this year in the 2-4th round and roll Goff. If you get a top 10 pick next year maybe go for a QB then if you didn't find gold this year.

the NFL's systemic racism policy is no joking matter.
maybe, but it doesn't apply here. The contract he wants was given to another black man. Not like only whites can get it.

Depending on how he plays this year, he may be a candidate for an extension. Again, the dude is only 28 and he's been as solid as it gets from an injury standpoint.

2018 playoffs Rams played 3 games including the Super Bowl.

Stat geeks—
Go look how many TDs Goff threw in those 3 games.

With Goff the Lions maybe get into the playoffs next year with a NON LAST PLACE schedule. Even if they do he ain’t getting it done against solid defense unless you have a helluva running game and defense.

@broncosmitty how is that Lions secondary looking? Needs more pieces or can they make a big 180? They need some DTs too?
Well, the secondary in the last couple weeks has went from least talent in the league to the strongest part of the defense.

Which isn’t saying anything, as the linebackers and line still are near the bottom talent wise. But a lot of picks to change that. Could see an early pick still used on the secondary. Moseley is coming off an ACL tear and CJGJ played corner for Aaron Glenn in New Orleans. Not safety like he did in Philly.

Before Staff got to the Rams, he was 0-3 in the playoffs. With more turnovers than touchdowns. I’m not holding what Goff did in one game when he was 24 against him.

Would not support trading him back for Staff straight up.

I think it basically comes down to owners not wanting players to get accustomed to fully guaranteed contracts after the Browns signed Watson. so it's a bit bigger than just Lamar at this point.

Bingo. Just because the Browns made a dumb decision doesn’t mean everyone must follow suit.

Just like when the Rams gave up way too much for Stafford. Doesn’t mean that’s what the Jets will give up for Rodgers.

I’d really like to see a QB brought in to develop.

But I also am wanting to see a kicker drafted this year tbh.

Detroit currently doesn’t have a 4th fwiw.

Lamar also doesn't use an agent, and to his own detriment at this point.
