They improved at RT, but otherwise the OL is the same as it was last year. Wylie was good but I wouldn't call him elite, and that line was bad last year.

Yeah, it was a great game. If anything, it was the Eagles offense that went conservative towards the end not the defense. Our defense was inconsistent. Some games played great, some games played awful(2nd Dallas game, this Lions game, 2nd Commanders game, Packers etc..) We could be overwhelming at times, but other times were very avg, like this game. Ultimately it cost us the SB.

Another Eagles fan said their base D is prevent is that true?

I see one completion for over 20 yards in the fourth quarter in that game. And I see another one late in the third-quarter but it was actually a short pass to Swift in which he ran for over 20 yards.

I’ve seen the guy mop up defenses too many times in prevent. Yes he’s matured but you’ll never ever get me to put him in the category of a good quarterback.

Lions trade for QB Lamar Jackson, formerly of the Ravens, and sign him to a new five-year, $233 million contract.​

Jackson was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Jackson became the Ravens' starting quarterback in his rookie season after an injury to incumbent Joe Flacco and clinched a division title with the team, also becoming the youngest NFL quarterback to start a playoff game at age 21. Pro Football Focus ranked him as their No. 5 quarterback in 2022. The Ravens will reportedly receive the Lions 18th pick in the 2023 draft, their 3rd round pick in the 2023 draft and the Lions first round pick next year in the 2024 draft. I'd love if Detroit did that. They give up their next 2 first rounders, Lamar will be good for probably 10 games, they'll win like 6 of those, then he'll get hurt and it'll be Nate Sudfeld time for the Lions.
