Lions Favs Trade For Lamar Jackson

Oh sure, if he's healthy he's an obvious upgrade. They also have plenty for him to work with. Bad thing for him, though, is going from the 2nd best OL in the league to one ranked in the bottom 5-10.
They have improved their OL in FA.

They improved at RT, but otherwise the OL is the same as it was last year. Wylie was good but I wouldn't call him elite, and that line was bad last year.

Yeah, it was a great game. If anything, it was the Eagles offense that went conservative towards the end not the defense. Our defense was inconsistent. Some games played great, some games played awful(2nd Dallas game, this Lions game, 2nd Commanders game, Packers etc..) We could be overwhelming at times, but other times were very avg, like this game. Ultimately it cost us the SB.
Another Eagles fan said their base D is prevent is that true?

I see one completion for over 20 yards in the fourth quarter in that game. And I see another one late in the third-quarter but it was actually a short pass to Swift in which he ran for over 20 yards.

I’ve seen the guy mop up defenses too many times in prevent. Yes he’s matured but you’ll never ever get me to put him in the category of a good quarterback.

Apparently the Lions are out of the sweepstakes for Lamar.

Bummer. :sigh:

@HammerDown you can lock this thread now.

LIONS TRADE FOTR LAMAR JACKSON!!!!!

Lions trade for QB Lamar Jackson, formerly of the Ravens, and sign him to a new five-year, $233 million contract.

Jackson was drafted by the Ravens in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Jackson became the Ravens' starting quarterback in his rookie season after an injury to incumbent Joe Flacco and clinched a division title with the team, also becoming the youngest NFL quarterback to start a playoff game at age 21. Pro Football Focus ranked him as their No. 5 quarterback in 2022. The Ravens will reportedly receive the Lions 18th pick in the 2023 draft, their 3rd round pick in the 2023 draft and the Lions first round pick next year in the 2024 draft. For Detroit, this is a franchise changing move that makes them immediate Super Bowl contenders. It’s uncertain what the Lions will do with Jared Goff and his large salary cap hit, but it’s believed they will immediately begin to shop him to QB needy teams like the Niners, Cowboys and Jets.

But it was the Bears turn to be decent!!

After Lamar the Lion wins 5 SuperBowls here and retires as the GOAT the Bears can do whatever they want.
What is it going to look like when the Bears play the Lions? We might actually get to talk shit, and make av bets like normal teams that don't sweep the basement

I Dont Believe You Will Ferrell GIF

I'd love if Detroit did that. They give up their next 2 first rounders, Lamar will be good for probably 10 games, they'll win like 6 of those, then he'll get hurt and it'll be Nate Sudfeld time for the Lions.

If it wasnt for the bottom post,I would have fell for that.......lmao,I was just about ready to start googling the signing........

Drtroits gonna have a very good team,Im impressed......especially if they draft a top defensive lineman to go along with Hutchinson and the dbs they have, theyll be tough to beat.......

Bears cant make it to the SB,Ill be rooting for the Lions to make it....

Better go easy with that, there are posters here that will call lay into you for thinking Goff anything but the worst QB in the league.

Stafford never made one WR in 12 years here. Goff made Amon-Ra Saint Brown a star in one year.

Lol I love some Goff monday humor

Meanwhile let me know if y’all want to see Staffords Super Bowl ring and I’ll dig it up some pics for you.
