Major CFB Moments

August 22nd, 2002:

The earliest start to the college football season in college football history. Colorado State beat Virginia 35-29.

That CSU team was fun, Sapp and Van Pelt made for a great running game. Also beat Colorado

a pretty blah Michigan season, but they did hand Penn State their only loss. Amazing 4th quarter and ending.

hate to post an OSU play, but this was just awesome and it saved a national title.

Same exact day as the ND/USC Bush Push game. I believe that day is the best college football in college football history. The Athletic had some formula they came up with and I think that was first or second.

I watched this live.
Cost FSU an NC

Janikowski's Gator Chomp did not age well. 1997 was the only year in the 90's that the Championship game didn't involve any teams from Florida, and that was because of this game.

Nebraska @ Penn St 1982

This horrible call was ruled a catch.
Penn St scored a TD on the next play (another controversial catch) and won the game 27-24.

Penn St finished the season at 11-1 and won the NC.

Nebraska finished the season 12 -1 and #3
