Man CBS Screwed Up Big Time

I feel for you as an Oregon fan and not getting an invite (although I think it eventually comes). However, I don't think you have a very good argument here. UCLA is a big-name team and, if they are good, they will get ratings. In fact, I expect their ratings to improve being in the B1G.
avg annual likely will because there are no teams that draw in the Pac on an annual basis like OSU and Michigan. but like i just said i dont expect their games vs Northwestern, Purdue, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers and probably a few more to be any much better than when they played in the Pac. at least not after the first year or 2

This is my logic as to why I think the B1G should bring in a few more of the upper tier Pac12 teams and basically make a West Coast division with only 3-4 cross over games to reduce travel costs.

Oregon, Washington, Stanford, and maybe someone else makes the most sense. If the someone else isn't Notre Dame than perhaps Cal, Colorado, Utah, or one of the Arizonas.

Effectively it is like the Pac12 schedule without the lower-rating teams like Wazzau, Oregon State, etc.

Michigan and Ohio State are monsters.

It seems like the Texas teams bring in the most cash but I have the perception that Michigan and Ohio State may have the largest fan bases in the country.

There is a drop off with the B1G after them two but Penn State, Nebraska, and USC are not shabby either. Michigan State, Iowa, and Wisconsin have decent numbers and fanbase support as well. Once you get past the teams that I have listed, there is a significant drop off. Perhaps Purdue is the next big one or maybe Minnesota (seems like the Vikings dominate Minnesota though).

Purdue's 3 out of 7 vs Ohio St since 2009.
They are 3 of 6 if you count the 2010 Ohio St vacated win.

That game is rotation worthy.

Minny's been good at beating Nebraska, but who hasn't?

how do you still not understand that laughing at UCLA not bringing in ratings has nothing to do with Oregon and so any comparison you are making is not relevant.

When the thread's about viewership ratings, UCLA's in-conference viewership is the same as Oregon's, and an Oregonian is laughing at UCLA's viewership ratings, then yes it has something to do with Oregon.

wait you get upset that i interpret a ton more great games with UCLA being in the Big ten as UCLA being in the top 5 rating getter? are you suggesting that the teams 6-16 generally are known to generate great games with high ratings?
also "That's not what he said at all" could also have been said to you in that I never said anything about Oregon in the discussion.
Like i have been saying this is about UCLA not UCLA compared to Oregon as much as you want it to be.

I'm not upset. I'm getting a kick out of UCLA living rent free in your head knowing they're off to bigger paydays and their tv viewership is going to increase considerably once they begin Big 10 play.

Get your laughs in, Jr Duckling.

Clarification, I wasn't talking about caliber/performance on the field. Actually was talking about fan support. Nebraska wouldn't be in my top 4-5 other wise :).

Purdue is pretty decent in Football and has been even better in Men's Basketball. I have several Purdue alumni at my job as well so hear more about them.

It's not about fan support. It's about what's on tv sets. That's where these media rights contracts are made.

really? then why didnt you do the numbers against Washington or Utah?

you want to talk about living rent free in someones mind? you might want to look at the amount you post about Oregon

Probably because I don't recall Washington or Utah fans laughing about UCLA's viewership numbers.
Washington fans (with the exception of Alaska Guy) in my experience have been pretty fair, realistic and reasonable. That's a little much to expect out of an Oregon fan.

but i heard since they are in the same conference it matters.

Yep!! I don't actively watch ANY pro sports these days. Yeah, if I'm in a bar or something and sports is on, I'll watch it, but other than that I don't support any pro sports.
CFB is starting to get on my nerves, though, but I still watch it... for the time being, anyway. :pop2::martini:
Yep
