Man the SEC Sucks

When have bowls ever "matter" in the first place? Conference perception has always been an overrated aspect in viewing how good a team may or may not be
Remember when the BigTen went like 1-7 in bowl games. It definitely mattered then.

Non playoff bowls

8-4 South Carolina vs 8-4 Notre dame
10-2 Tennessee vs 11-2 Clemson
10-2 Alabama vs 10-3 Kansas state
7-5 Kentucky vs 7-5 Iowa
8-4 Miss state vs 8-4 Illinois
9-4 LSU vs 8-5 Purdue

Arkansas and Kansas were both 6-6

Ole Miss was 8-4 Texas Tech was 7-5

Wake Forest 8-4 vs Missouri 6-6 and Oregon State 9-3 vs Florida 6-6 are the only games you can make the mismatch based on record claims. Some people will try to get you to believe it’s a great amount of the games though.
Deacs were 7-5

My bad so the SEC only had 1 real Mismatch the Florida game.

Hell the big 12 has 2 tonight alone Oklahoma 6-6 playing a 9-3 team and Texas 8-4 playing a 10-2 team
mismatch?

Seems to only matter when the SEC is doing really well or the B1G is doing really bad. Funny how that works
That’s because the B1G only started doing well when multiple SEC teams made it the playoffs and the rest of the SEC talent started opting out.

Get rid of the playoffs and opting out and you guys would still be getting your ass kicked.

Truth hurts bro.

Meh, I'll pull for Bama during also-ran bowls but don't really care all that much if they lose, since they have zero bearing on the national championship.

Ole Miss didn’t want to be there

They've typically done well in bowl games, but I don't recall the media making a big deal out of it. Sure with them having two title games with SECAn teams participating in them, is noteworthy, but I will say, I think they'll make a big deal out of it if it happens with the B1G this year.

And yeah, there was some bad in there too. Every conference took on bad losses. I just don't think another conference had that many quality wins either.
And if ESPN had the Big Ten Network they'd pimp them up just like they do the SEC and the LHN. And they should. Helps their bottom line. Ford pimps up their vehicle too. Every business does.

Texas and Oklahoma should count toward the SEC numbers.

Not really because they are Big12 teams and played against Big12 competition so it reflects strength of Big12.

All these SEC honks would be pumping their chests right now if the SEC were a dominating 3-1 or 4-0 and not a lowly 1-3 with the only win being a triple OT win over Kansas. Since that’s how it’s been “these games don’t matter” lol

75% of your post was statements presented in an incorrect manner or taken out of context and you know it.
So do you think the SEC should buy out OU and Texas because it’s a bad look?

I think it looks bad that they continue to wallow in Big12 which was point of my comments. It is looking like 2024 is a chance to happen. I don't think it make sense if it is a Financial loss as I stated in that post.

Also the Kansas and Oklahoma State comments (never said West Virginia, I am not sure where you got that) had a major disclaimer on it before I posted stating if it wasn't amount money/financials. You totally left that out which once again shows you are putting words in my mouth or putting stuff out of context. My point of the post wasn't that it made financial sense for the SEC, it just solves all of the missing rivalries for the Big12 teams joining the SEC and gives the SEC another Basketball blue blood to compete with Kentucky.

You would be great as a CNN reporter.

Off topic but posted this in Tennessee forum:

@CoalTrain may like it.
