May the Fourth be With You

I'm very confused by that graphic.

power zones don't match the shown average and the current output is below the average but it has 2 up arrows.
I never really pay attention to the average output or the arrows...

average output tells me if the person I'm chasing on the "here now" part of the leader board is gettable.

you added something to the thread... congratulations

If you have a talkie bike, you can view my stats. I'm OnYourLeft_

I've been riding off and on for 15+ years. Used to ride on the road... spandex and everything, but pretty much stopped after my kid was born since it's way too fucking dangerous. Too many fucking idiots/assholes on the road.

"Back at it" is a tough question to answer... Got the Peloton a little more than a year ago and was doing great for a while, then the holidays came and rides were replaced by baking cookies.

But I'm probably another month of consistent riding away from being able to set at PR to match last summer.
I stick to bike trails around her. Limits a bit both on where and speed, but I dont like biking on road

just saying, I don't think I have ever been instructed to put my heartrate in a certain range...
thats what myx uses

130 is a jog...

I remember training for a ride against one of my buddies... would ride at 150+ for 4 hours straight 4-5 times a week. That was with my old heavy wheel spin bike.
I find it hard to get in the 150s without just balls out getting after it. When I'm sick I get there in a warmup 😂😆😂

When I ride at the lake there's a steep hill 45+ degree's I want to say and around a half mile, if I put it at the end of the ride (8-13 miles depending on route) it can get me in just barely the 150s for a little bit.

What instrument are you using to measure HR ? My chest strap seems to be the most reliable

apple watch measures my HR. anything over 155 is pushing it pretty hard... usually in the 230+ watt range. Bump that 10% into the 250s and I'm setting new PRs again. I'll get there.

really the ride trying to stay under 130 was my own fitness test and I'll redo it again after some months of pushing it for a while.

my average for my ride yesterday was at 172 bpm and I don't ride at the level you ride...my high was 188 bpm

I also have 30-40 lbs on you, so take the watt numbers for what they are. True cycling is a power/weight ratio sport. So put my average watts over 200 lbs.

It's why I had to work so hard to beat my buddy in the ride we did many years ago. He was in the 150-160 weight range and it was a mountain ride. He should have been able to smoke me, but I outworked him and dropped him on the first hill. Ended up beating him by 30+ minutes.

Talk all the smack you want... it's why my Peloton username is what it is... get on the bike and I'm probably passing you.
