Mazi Smith making headlines for all the wrong reasons

Oh fuck off. There obviously was at least some forms of special treatment. Too many convenient happenings for there to not have been.
That's not special treatment. That's an Athletic Department that's always acted in as much secrecy as they've been allowed.

Again, there's nothing convenient here. Convenient is not charging a player with a felony you know isn't going to stick in the first place, not waiting the days before the 2nd biggest game remaining in the regular season to charge them with said felony you know isn't going to stick.

Yes we know Michigan's athletic department is constantly quick to push things under the rug and keep them hush hush so Michigan can continue the illusion that they are some holier than thou institution. Most non Michigan people have long figured out that is a comical charade though. Doesn't stop their fans from claiming that their bogus "success with honor!" attitude prevents them from winning thoughj

You know, all that special treatment so that our players are charged unnecessarily with felonies.

No use in arguing with ignorance. You're right. Michigan is an institution of nothing but integrity and Harbaugh and the athletic department can never do any wrong.
He probably agrees with Harbaugh that Bo wouldn’t cover anything up.

You are arguing something was covered up, without anything actually being covered up. Since nothing was actually covered up you resort to this conspiracy, based on no actual evidence, that charges were held until days before the 2nd biggest game on the schedule to (somehow) the benefit of Michigan? And once that nonsense sounds crazy, like it is, you go even further up the crazy scale by suggesting this means Michigan can never do any wrong.

It isn't lost on me that the only people who seem to have this conspiracy are rival fans. Maybe that should make you reevaluate your opinion?

The false arrogance of Michigan man and the pretending that Michigan is some higher than mighty institution that DOESNT PUT FOOTBALL FIRST! like all those other schools and carries success with honor is the biggest fucking sham in college football, it has been for quite some time now. It's hilarious whenever anything like this happens they seriously flip it that the person who committed the crime is basically the victim and that everyone is just trying to "smear the poor kid"

But we are a higher than mighty institution and we don't put football first. Xavier Worthy would be a Wolverine right now if we did. What you seem under the misconception about is that all errors deserve some sort of equal punishment. I think how this player responded after making the mistake shows exactly the difference in our two institutions and why a suspension was unnecessary.

Uh huh of course you are.

The Fab 5
The late 80s baseball coach who bought a team of MLB prospects
The shady shit that goes on with their hockey program, the U-16 facility and Pioneer High

It's not just football. The high and mighty crap is a played out act.

How long was Gibbons on your team again? He missed two games?

What the fab 5 did today wouldn't be against NCAA rules. What does a public high school (Pioneer) have to do with our athletic department?

Gibbons was kicked out of the University.

What a stupid fucking response. It very much WAS against NCAA rules at the time, you know, what actually counts. Who cares what it would be today, then wasn't today. "Success with honor" my ass

Gibbons was kicked out of the University.
Again, how many years did he play after being accused without any repercussions? Was it four years?

The University very literally modified it's entire sexual assault policy to kick him out. And he sued the University for it.
