MICHIGAN Victory Monday

You're right that if he doesn't have an accountability-buddy to help keep him on track he's doomed to fail.

When I was a trainer the goal was to always teach clients how to maintain their confidence and success when our sessions ended. The most dedicated clients used the training I taught them to continue moving forward, and if they got stuck they’d hit me up for a new program or quick advice etc.

Then I had one guy whose wife made him buy sessions to get in shape for their wedding. He wasn’t into it at all. One night he turned white, took a hard fall off the treadmill and laid on the floor for 30 minutes because he wasn’t following my diet plan and hadn’t eaten all day.

"confidence and success" is rather ambiguous and intangible. Really, to keep them on course they need to develop tangible habits. And of course, the need to want self-improvement.

Oh where to begin.

People who use short cuts to lose weight will almost always gain it back because they don’t know any other way. They put no effort into losing the weight so it really has no positive impact on them. They feel no victory, no hard work was put into it etc…
Amen to that. Unless you change your lifestyle i.e. stop doing the things that made you fat in the first place its not going to work.

We’re on the same page, homie. Confidence to want to keep improving using the good habits I taught them and maintaining their success.
