Mid May Monday Morning

ok, I get it now. The bat produces faster balls off the bat...but the kid still doesn't have the strength to get it's full potential because he's soft.
Sounds like poor instruction.

My go-to at bat was pop out to shortstop....no one did it better than me...i was so good I retired from baseball to keep my legacy alive

and my fielding was hope no one hit it towards me and if they did, close my eyes and hold up my glove hoping for the best
I hated playing 3rd base in teener league. Coach wanted me to be even with the bag or in more than that. Fucking nerve wracking when you got some 6 foot something 220 lber wielding a metal bat.

Did you tell her the Sarcastaball game was the next field over?

She got into with one of the refs then cried more until they made him switch games with another ref.

Quite the show.

Imagine being the pitcher.

I remember when a MLB player lost his bat at the end of his swing, and it flew over the dugout and hit a fan. Security confiscated the bat. She didn’t even get to keep it.

Been a minute since I was in LL, but I think the ump would look at the bats prior to play.
I don't recall that ever happening when I was in LL but I don't think the tech was at this level.

I think the only thing I recall being a rule is the length had to be within some number of the weight.

Who is they? In what world does a coach have more authority over a game than a ref? Holee fuq!

3 hours to see if the sixers have a 1st round pick.

Coached against an all-woman’s staff yesterday in flag football and less than half way through the game the HC started crying and walked off the field.

Never seen that before. 😬
it's tough trying to make it in a man's world.

fuck...this season has been such a downer. I hope they get one.

They as in the league coordinators.

But you could also lay some blame on the other coach who accused him of being rude to her (rude as in explaining the rule book she obviously didn’t read).

Outside of landing 1 overall and getting Flagg feels like they'll be drawing dead going into next season

Unfortunately for their team (which had some talented kids) they were completely in over their heads. Every play was a run right up the middle. I was calling the plays out from the sideline (I’m the DC).

I was actually coaching up their kids after some plays and giving them encouragement. One of the big downsides to youth sports is lack of good coaching.

If you can't stand the heat, get back in the kitchen.

Definitely felt bad for the players. You get stuck w a bad coach and you’re screwed in this league.

That's true. And a lack of coaching availability in general. One year, I volunteered to help coach a 7th & 8th grade flag football team and I was the ONLY coach; no one else volunteered to help. I got stuck trying to be the OC, DC and HC all at once. Thankfully, it was a short season.

had to hit my neighbor for clearing her driveway this winter
