Just USA.

BBCOR is Little League certified for intermediate and senior, we're still minors. So it's Little League certified.

Sounds like poor instruction.

The biggest problem with this kid is by the time he's started figuring out how to use his body again, he's grown another 2 inches and he's back to being uncoordinated.

I just got him back to using his hips to swing (again, for the 3rd or 4th season running).

Gotcha as there is a difference I guess for all 3. Travel seems to only use USSSA.

Unfortunately for their team (which had some talented kids) they were completely in over their heads. Every play was a run right up the middle. I was calling the plays out from the sideline (I’m the DC).

I was actually coaching up their kids after some plays and giving them encouragement. One of the big downsides to youth sports is lack of good coaching.

That's true. And a lack of coaching availability in general. One year, I volunteered to help coach a 7th & 8th grade flag football team and I was the ONLY coach; no one else volunteered to help. I got stuck trying to be the OC, DC and HC all at once. Thankfully, it was a short season.

I have a hard time not volunteering when asked...so I will likely be in that position at some point.

People coach their kids. It’s just me and the HC. He runs the O and I run the D. He’s also a HS coach for his older son.

You’re also assuming this woman would be okay with a man replacing her. Not sure that would go as smoothly as you think. They actually had 3 coaches to our 2.
