Mock Drafts : Chat

Every player declines at the end of their career...like I said, not every player will be fair but you have the same case with retired players. Randy Moss, Lester Hayes, Mel Blount, etc.

Nothing is fair!

Declining is not the point... if you accumulated all your probowls, and you are at the end of your career, then an AP penalty seems silly...

For an example Adrian Peterson going from 7 to 11 is stupid...
Tom BRady going from 14 to 17 is stupid...

The EXTRA is needed for the current players who have a lot left in their career... Like an Aaron Donald

Basketball we did a mistake by only using 350... that is basically 5 to 6 seasons... in a sport where players play longest...

Not every case is going to perfect...we've went over this.

Brady is the best ever $17 isn't crazy...AP is definitely a stretch but not everything can be perfect it's MUCH better than only adding $1 to a players' salary. That does nothing.

If you want to get technical and make it even more complicated you could do a rule, "current player over the age of 34" would be the same cap rule as a retired player. Only use Pro Bowls

But then THAT rule always screws players like Antonio Brown who has definitely declined at a younger age of 32 and his price tag would be $11

You could make the age 30 or 32 instead of 34...idk

Brady is the best ever

I was thinking we could do a high cap figure like 200, but penalize taking players from the same team twice. Like you could have two guys off the Steelers, but the 2nd guy you take adds $10 to his cap hit, a 3rd Steeler adds $15

Really like this idea, another wrinkle to a cap draft to add strategy

I think it works in baseball too, especially for Dodgers, Yankees and Red Sox

A 2nd twist would be a bucket draft in which you could pick any player from bucket A at an automatic 20 per player, Bucket B 15, C 10, D 5 and E 3

I like this idea and it made me think of another idea...

Lets say we have 12 people drafting.

We draft 18 so we have 18 buckets with 12 players in each bucket, we each take a player from each bucket and you can choose any bucket you want everytime it's your pick but never the same bucket twice.

Anybody be interested in doing an NBA triple crown rotisserie challenge?

Points : Rebounds : Assists

They are doing a 72 game schedule so we make it 70 games. Can only use a player 5 times. Kinda like the MLB one we did last year.
