Mock Drafts : Chat

Thanks for the kudos

The offense carried the team despite the injuries to the pitchers even though it paled to the injuries I got smoked with in my big money league

I won my division but my division sucked, my team is not that good and I probably get bumped quickly.

Steve Nash missed 44 free throws in 120 playoff games.

Ben Simmons missed 48 free throws in 12 playoff games in 2021

How about an NBA draft where none of the top 75 players (76 to be exact) can be drafted. No player drafted after 2010 can be drafted.
One round?

One round?

The problem with one round in taking a top 75 player is that I could see someone subconsciously deciding a matchup on a single one vs one with their all time great.

But I think maybe a possible work around is that we do a full 10 round draft with no top 75 players. All positions filled. Then we do a wild card round at the end (round 11) which is a completely random draft order. You can then drop one of your players for a player in the top 75. That way no one can plan their team around a single all time great. If you load up on wings and you get the 1st pick of the top 75 would you still draft Jordan? How much better does that make your team? Or do you take an all time big?

Yeah the random order in Round 11 would be the only way to go. Going to be a difficult pill to swallow seeing the best team get MJ with their last pick even with a heavy guard team. I'm down for this idea, it would definitely be different

I'm in, what do we do?
How about just a team draft.

27 rounds-one team per player. use 27/30 teams

Only restriction is the player had to play for a team 7 or more years. (Could lower this if too difficult)

18 - 2 lineups (DH and no DH)
5 - rotation
4 - bullpen

If we want an easier one we can just do 18 rounds. Use 18/30 teams but make the year restriction higher.

Two lineups but one pen and one rotation?

I will thinking two 3 or 4 man rotations but then you are basically having to use all 30 teams.

We could do - 29/30 teams
-2 lineups
-2 3-man rotations
-2 2-man BP's

That is tough, we would have to lower the minimum years for each club.
