Mock Drafts : Chat

At that price point, I see his side. When it's your first contract to secure your future, I'm all for the players getting the bag. They deserve to get paid.

I love when a player gives a hometown discount, salaries are to high and are the one thing that may eventually destroy professional team sports.

This is the kinda player I want on my team!!
Very refreshing, you don’t see many players in any sport like this. I’m used to players leaving CLE. Very unselfish but the Dolans need to sell. It’s pathetic they refuse to spend anything so shocked the offered that much to JRam

@Nosferatu I would be down for another decade draft.

You will select 3 players from each decade. 1910's : 1920's : 1930's : 1940's : 1950's : 1960's : 1970's : 1980's : 1990's : 2000's

You can trade whatever you want but you must end up with 3 from each decade.

320 games to qualify for a position. More starts/relief appearances to qualify as a starter/reliever.

The first game played in the MLB determines the decade for the player.

7 SP's
5 RP's
18 - 2 lineups (one vs LHP, one vs RHP)
C
1B
2B
SS
3B
LF
CF
RF
DH

Been there, done that. Moving is always nerve-racking. Good luck man.

Three players per decade and you can spend $20 per decade and years an all star are what we use as $$$

Every player can be selected and if you select a player that costs $17 - $21 that is fine but the other two players that decade must be $1 players

Players that never played in an All Star game are still $1

You can trade players but you cannot go over the salary cap. You cannot trade cap space or picks per decade.

C - 1
1B - 1
2B - 1
3B - 1
SS - 1
LF - 1
CF - 1
RF - 1
DH - 1
ROTATION - 5
BULLPEN - 4

Position players must have started 324 games at a position to use them there.

Starting pitchers must have at least 50% of their games as a starter to qualify.

Relief pitchers must have pitched at least 300 games in relief to use them as a reliever.

DH can be any hitter.

Just another idea.

I'm out for this upcoming draft. Got a busy week at work then I'm out of town for a few days on a golf trip with the boys. First one in ages, so I'm not going to be really available to draft.

I'll hop in the next one.

I like this one if we can get enough guys

Maybe we should take a week or two off so we can have Orlando and Sushi back??

I was just looking back on some older drafts on the old hoop, it's incredible how irritating Ritz was and you guys never really knew how bad it was. lolzzz

I'm going on a cruise from the 19th-23rd so I would be out if we waited

Okay, so we are going to go with a MLB Bucket & Cap Draft.

$21 per bucket.

You draft 3 players from each bucket, there is no trading of money or buckets.

You can pick any player who played between 1936 - 1983 (This could change)

Player must have played with team for at least 4 years to be eligible.

$1 per all star, players with zero all stars are $1

You are allowed to pick Hank Aaron, Stan Musial & Willie Mays but the other two players in that bucket must be $1 players.

You are allowed to change a players team at any time but please don't abuse this.

BUCKET 1 : Orioles : Diamondbacks : Pirates : Astros : Cubs
BUCKET 2 : Blue Jays : Braves : Royals : Cardinals : Angels
BUCKET 3 : Twins : Yankees : Padres : Brewers : Phillies
BUCKET 4 : Red Sox : Nationals : Giants : White Sox : Mariners
BUCKET 5 : Rays : Mets : Rangers : Dodgers : Tigers
BUCKET 6 : Indians : A's : Marlins : Reds : Rockies

Same positions as always

1-C (All position players must have 200 starts for the position you play them at)
1-1B
1-2B
1-3B
1-SS
1-RF
1-CF
1-LF
1-DH (Any player you want)
5-SP (100 starts to qualify)
4-RP (100 Relief appearances to qualify)

I may change the buckets around some, just wanted to post this idea.
