A show cause is absolutely no big deal for a current staff member. It has absolutely no impact on them if they maintain employment at that school. As for timelines, put it this way. We are talking (today) about the finalization of an NCAA punishment that started with an infraction in spring 2020. Michigan hasn't even received the NOA yet from this and it happened 8 months ago. Even when Michigan receives it, Michigan has 90 days to respond; that takes us through almost the entire season. And then there's the hearings after that. And that's if Michigan doesn't file a lawsuit for any of this. We won't have this resolved until probably 2026.

Unsurprisingly, you pulled real quotes from me but are also referencing another quote that you didn't pull, referencing an entirely different part of the conversation

I'm not sure it's going to bother Harbaugh to wait until 2028 if that's his plan; given he has a 5 year guaranteed contract with the chargers and he if took a college job, would have to lose a ton off money.

You totally missed the point ... that's what happens when you lie and say disingenuous things all the time. You can't really comprehend what people are saying because your natural reaction is to say but, but, but it was minor, and it didn't matter.

My post indicated the NFL actually upheld and enforced the NCAA penalties against a coach who no longer coached in college, and a player who no longer played. It was a dumb thing to do then, would be dumb to do it now, but shows how hypocritical they were to say they were showing their integrity. It means they are showing a lack of integrity now.
 
The "but the kids you cant punish the kids!" shit is ridiculous too when it comes to discussing potential sanctions, them kids can go elsewhere however they want now with the transfer portal.

Nobody thought he was going to go back after he left Stanford either.

But even though all he did was win in SF, he still got fired because he's such an unlikeable douchebag. He had to run back to college where he could have all the power, cheat, and have sleepovers with teenage boys.

Yep lol. 3 very successful years but the first let down (which wasnt even that bad) that came and gave them a excuse to do it they cut him loose.

The Chargers are a hot mess of a franchise. The 49ers already had decent ground floor built when he got there, it's not even close to the same with the Chargers. It's gonna get comical real fast there.

Sorry guys but after everything Penn State, Michigan State and Ohio State have done over the years it’s just impossible to act like this is a big deal.

Could have been A LOT worse.

You keep saying show cause doesn't impact a current coach but it absolutely does. The NCAA can for a resignation if nothing else.

And anyone can click the quote to see you were talking about the texts he deleted.

I mean, we're talking about cheating that directly affected games for several years, which I'm not sure the other three programs are very good comparisons for.

It was shown that he had purchased tickets to possible future opponents of Michigan before so I'm not sure why it's our of the realm of possibility that he did that again.

However, as far as I'm concerned it's over and done with. Michigan has their run but Ohio State has a very talented team this season so that's what I'm going to concentrate on

At what point do you blame yourselves though? Like when Obama was president and he allowed Russia to (allegedly) interfere w the election? Or when we had covid lock downs under Trump?

If MI cheated (allegedly) while Ryan Day was on the clock that’s kind of on him.

Nobody had the slightest clue what your operation was until everything blew wide open after several years. What it boils down to is michigan was on a downward trajectory, then put together a scheme that went against NCAA rules and gave them a sizable advantage on the field, and that needs to be punished accordingly. It looks even worse when your HC raids the coaching closet and takes practically everyone with him who could be implicated and leaves Moore to deal with the fire. Then again, if he was complicit in all of it, he deserves to be punished too.

There is. But do you think Michigan wasn't fully aware of this when they hired him? They're not firing him for cause for something they already knew.
