More Michigan Cheating

Last, but not least, if the signs were such a tremendous advantage. I'm guessing they would have been paying the guy more than 55k. You can work at McDonald's and get paid more.
Expense account! Guy did it for the glory and fantasy of rubbing elbows with then ousting Jimmie Jam.
The report states there is no connection between the Weiss and Sign Stealing investigations

If the information came from the hard drives in the Matt Weiss case -- they wouldn't be releasing a statement like that.
Yes, because the Weiss case is a criminal one and that hard drive would be evidence.

No, but I do feel it is quite odd for a Nebraska to be so enamored by bad things happening to Michigan. Do you still have self induced emotional wounds from 1997-8? I promise that one day Nebraska will beat Michigan … keep the faith.
Oh knock it off, literally nobody outside of the michigan fanbase thinks they were better than Nebraska that year.

That was over a quarter of a century ago … but it is the only explanation I have for his over-investment in this story. Now, for ohio state giving us shit 💩 is completely understandable.

I just love seeing how delusional Michigan fans are right now after years of tattoo talk. And I didn’t forget it was a Michigan fan calling for the expulsion of Nebraska because of football struggles many of which are the same ones Michigan must have really felt in order to cheat on such a massive scale.

Teams don't like seeing conference foes cheat when they have to play them. Seems simple to me.

Let’s just say Michigan stole signs and teams knew about this for quite a while, would it be prudent for an opposing team to change signs and use Michigan’s knowledge against them?

I heard TCU used dummy signals, but i didnt know that Ohio St told TCU about it.

It was too late for us to put together an entirely new set of signals, but TCU had a month to prepare before their game. Turns out it made a difference afterall.

First of all I doubt every team knew about Michigan cheating a week before they play them. Secondly, even if they knew, it is next to impossible to install a completely new signal system in less than a week - I’m not saying plays couldn’t be run in like teams used to do but that won’t work with defense anyway. The rest of the world doesn’t need to change because Michigan are cheaters. Without illegally ill gotten pre stolen signal sheets, Michigan would be average at in game sign watching stealing like everyone else.

Apparently, TCU knew ... apparently they made adjustments ... and absolutely TCU beat us in the playoffs. How did TCU know? How did TCU make adjustments? I know how TCU beat us in the playoffs (it's called outscoring).

Yes. One investigation is surrounding michigan cheating. The other investigation is surrounding whatever super illegal shit Weiss was doing. Finding information about one of them that does not pertain to that specific investigation, but pertains to another, does not mean the investigations are linked. They were looking for specific things in the Weiss case, discovered the hard drives and turned them over. That does not mean those two investigations are now linked. I provided a perfectly coherent example of how this easily can happen.
They wouldn't say there is NO CONNECTION between the cases, if the hard drives from one case are being used in the other case. As the hard drives would be the connection between the two cases.

Why wouldn't they say that? They are two entirely independent investigations. The FBI isn't investigating Weiss for cheating, and the NCAA isn't investigating michigan for whatever Weiss was doing. They're literally two entirely investigations. By no means does that mean information about one couldn't have happened to be found while investigating the other. If the FBI found evidence of cheating but it wasn't something the FBI would be concerned with, then they could turn that evidence over to someone else who would be concerned with it, and it would literally have nothing to do with the FBI investigation. This is insanely easy to understand.

Michigan has been tight lipped since this thing broke and you won’t know all the details until the investigation is over.
Details is one thing, hiring a law firm or private investigation is another. Michigan couldn't hire a law firm or hire a private investigation without that getting out.

MGoBlog message boards are diving deep into the allegations that michigan staffers hacked an OSU employee's login information and obtained over 50 hours of Ohio State practice film. My god this just keeps getting worse and worse.

My high school team changed our signals multiple times a year. You think a college program can't.

College programs already change their signals on a week to week basis. They will change who is sending in the real signs. They will change what the indicator is. That is why they have multiple people on the sideline sending signals in or in some teams cases, holding signs up with pictures.

Ahh yes, mgoblog user that's been active for less than a year has some super secret information!

If they had found evidence in one investigation, which led to the start of another investigation -- that would be called A CONNECTION. It'd be two completely separate investigations, but the connection would be the evidence found in one case being used in a separate case.
