It's always made me laugh, especially because the number just gradually increases depending on which moron is spouting off. It started at like $9m, then went to $12m, then $17/18m, then $20m, now it's $22m.

What's even funnier is he's acting like michigan didn't do the same with their returning players last year. There's an article that showed OG Trevor Keegan was getting up to $500k in NIL just himself. Between all his deals, McCarthy made around $2m last year. It's just intentionally ignorant to act like big NIL dollars aren't being spent at every major program.

I remember them saying how Harbaugh was so masterful in the portal bringing in important pieces to help the team over the past few years. They are the epitome of delusion and hypocrisy. Them getting the tiny bit of success they've had recently is like what you see when a burnout wins the lottery. Clearly they don't know how to handle it or themselves.

He did? It was ALL URBAN MEYER RECRUITS in the ONLY game he beat Michigan. With his own recruits.....................he is winless. OAM is so confident in his recruiting and ability to beat Michigan, you paid for not one, but two QB's, you paid Downs QB 1 money and you paid Judkins a fortune, as he flat out stated he was looking for $1-$1.5 million in NIL.

When your coach is softer than Charmin -- you have no choice but to rely on other coaches to develop players with some toughness to come in.

And I didn't say OAM paid $22 million for players transferring in -- I said OAM is paying $22 million for ONE YEAR of the roster they have right now. The QB's, Downs and Judkins probably make up 1/3 of that total.

You'd have more of a point if Day didn't recruit the starting QB in the portal in the off-season before the 2019 season, and not on staff the previous 2 seasons as OC. Also, to not give any credit to Day for landing any recruits in disingenuous, but you're the worst so no surprise there. It should be noted Day was the main reason Chris Olave came to OSU. I'm sure there are others, but Fields, Olave and Wilson should be credited to Day more than Urban.

Ryan Day inherited Urban Meyer's roster. With the roster he is responsible for building, he has lost 3 years in a row to Michigan and has resorted to trying to convince the world OAM is tough/physical because they beat Notre Dame by 3 points.

I can't speak for Olave, as I know little about his recruitment, but the Texas pipeline (like Garrett Wilson) was ALL Urban Meyer. Prior to Meyer -- OAM wasn't pulling blue chip recruits from the state almost every year. Meyer built that pipeline and that is what took OAM's recruiting from very good to top 3 in nation.

And had to keep together, like TR FR Garrett Wilson after Urban announced he was retiring. “As soon as I saw Ryan Day was going to be the coach, that made it clear,” Wilson said. “I want to go play for Coach Day, I trust him and my family trusts him. There’s no chance I’m going anywhere but Ohio State.”

Day was the main recruiter for Olave. Day was looking at a QB recruit and spotted Olave, who wasn't being heavily recruited.

Certainly. I really don’t like Day, but there is no denying he is a good coach. Credit must be given for a smooth transition from Meyer to Day. I hope the transition from Harbaugh to Moore is just as seamless. I am not sure what this has to do with Michigan decoding signs coming in from opposing teams sidelines, someone from Michigan going to a future opponent’s game or Harbaugh paying for a cheeseburger (or breakfast).

We will play ohio state again this year, and the results probably will not be favorable. That’s life, but this thread is full of a lot of whining about some of the most minor shit, I ever heard of.

It's got nothing to do with it. It's a brand new day at michigan, and it might be rough just considering the roster turnover. I have no idea what the depth looks like on defense, but that side of the ball is also going to look a lot different in 2025. It's going to be on Moore to work the portal and ensure this season is good enough not to impact recruiting. The NCAA's final decision on punishment will likely also play a part.
