More Michigan Cheating

But it wasn't our best team because of our offense, it was our best team because of our defense.....and defense won the game.
To be fair we scored the same amount of points or even less against Indiana, Penn State, and Wisconsin. Our offense last year was 47th in ppg nationally.

Rivalry games produce weird results. We almost beat Ohio State with 3rd string QB John O'Korn in 2017. Devin Gardner and a 7 win Michigan team was a 2 point conversion away from beating Urban in the Hoke Era.

I think OSU fans are purposely downplaying the skill on that team as well. Ohio State was, in fact, ranked the higher team entering the game at #2 in the country. Having the worst QB in a decade is pretty literally Ryan Day's fault -- not to mention, he replaced him with as close of a clone as you could have imagined.

You're not wrong. I just hate that we wasted such a talented offense and dominant defense while trotting out such a dud QB who couldn't run the offense.

For the people (mostly Michigan fans) who are swearing McCord "isnt bad hes actually good" I think McCord is going to show just how meh he really is at Syracuse this year without having a MHjr as a outlet.

I don't want that for him, but based on last year, he's really going to struggle without elite weapons carrying him, no doubt.

Yea I don't wish him any ill will, but just based on what was seen last year, I don't think he's capable of anything major on a team like Syracuse. I Suspect he has a pretty bleh 16 TD/10 INT type season where he competes like 58% of his passes. Luckily for him Syracuse will rely on the run a lot.

So he is basically Will Howard?

Even that is a stretch. Mccord doesn’t hold a candle to Howard athletically.
Oh definitely not. Wild that Howard went 24/10 last year at a 61% clip with 9 more rushing TDs throwing to nobodies while McCord went 24/6 at a 65% clip with 0 rushing production whatsoever throwing to future first rounders. Howard is going to take a hell of a jump.

These people who are acting like Howard is equal are even a downgrade crack me up.

I mean, it's just trolling. Howard won the Big 12 two years ago (over the same TCU that beat michigan in the CFP, no less), and then last year he absolutely roasted two top 10 teams in Texas and Missouri (unfortunately the rest of the team sucked and they barely lost both games). The dude put up 33 total TDs last year with virtually no help.

He also was sharing time at QB and left because he wasn’t guaranteed to start. I think he is a solid QB, but not anything special. He is still a bit inconsistent and has a habit of throwing a WTF ball

None of us are saying he's Stroud or anything, but he's DEFINITELY a good upgrade over McCord

Over the final four regular season games of Kansas State's season last year against Texas, Baylor, Kansas, and ISU, Howard averaged 254 yards a game with 10 TDs and 3 INT, with another 3 TD on the ground. Avery Johnson didn't even play against Kansas or Iowa State (their final two games), and only had 301 yards for the entire regular season. In what world is that "sharing time"?

Lincoln Riley really wanted him and if there's one thing he does know it's QBs. I'll take that endorsement over some message board shit talkers.

McCord's best landing spot was Syracuse, the fact that top programs weren't even calling should show what McCord actually is.

I have no idea where people are getting that he was "sharing time" or that he somehow lost his starting job considering he started every game for them. He entered the portal two days after their final regular season game (that Johnson didn't even play in) because he knew he had one more season to show off for the pros and there were far better options than staying at KSU. Obviously if you can play at OSU or USC instead, you're going to jump at the chance.

Let's hear how it's "totally normal" for a head coach still not to be under a actual contract after 7 months.
Probably figured the NOA was coming so it's best not to sign anything until they know if he's getting implicated or not.
