More Michigan Cheating

It's because he was on probation already from the cheeseburger-gate. That's it. That's why this is happening. Probably would not have been suspended two games if he wasn't already suspended a game two years ago for the recruiting incident.
Again, not believing that he said NOTHING wrong in all of his texts and they still punished him for deleting them.

That is, in fact, the direct claim Michigan sent in the response. The NCAA is charging him with a level 1 for deleting the messages as an act of non-cooperation not for the content of the messages.

then the lawsuit should be the HC against the school for punishing him for something that wasn't against the rules. They suspended him for texting with someone that he didn't know what doing anything wrong and never about the things that person was doing wrong.

But it is against the rules. Again, the NCAA is viewing the act of deleting the messages, irrelevant if they were recovered, as non-cooperation with the NCAA. Combined with the previous infarction, Michigan is offering up a two game suspension to solidify that rule violation Moore is being accused of by the NCAA. The content of those messages is irrelevant here.

Denial is so sad.

You admit there must have been something against the rules in the texts that were deleted, but want to pretend the Michigan pre-emptive suspension is only because he deleted the texts and not because of the content.

Michigan announced a suspension, so they clearly think some rules were broken. I don't think it is any big leap of faith to think the NCAA will also find out at least what Michigan found out, so the NCAA is going to announce some rule was broken.

Not sure what is premature, unless you think no rules were broken and Michigan simply suspended their head coach for 2 games because they like a challenge.
It is all about the severity of the punishment that the NCAA imposes. Damages can also be held against the NCAA for improper leaking on an investigation. Civil lawsuits can be extremely complicated. The NCAA has a duty to protect the teams as well as invoke punishments. Without a completed investigation, it is foolish to say innocent or guilt. Michigan imposing punishment could be related to the NCAA leaks or self investigation.

*Deletes an entire conversation and suspends their head coach for 2 games*

"There is no way to say they are guilty"

Dummy Feeling Dumb GIF

... and now y'all are sputtering after we have been living life under the microscope, while your team is going unchecked. We have been hurt by inability to recruit in the same manner as other teams, and real damage to our reputation. I never claimed that we were innocent. I just said, from what I read on this thread, the violations, if actual, are fairly minor. Also, anyone who was aware that we were decoding your signals and couldn't defend it are rather dumb.

As far as national perception, remember nation perception is what got Joe Biden elected - not the truth.
Lol what?

I think Moore deleting the texts certainly was a dumb move that he should have known the ncaa would target. Once recovered they showed nothing. However, the ncaa did target the act so Michigan can choose to try and dictate the punishment or let the ncaa do it. Either way it’s a gamble.

Is that Michigan saying that or the NCAA?

Has anyone released the texts to the public?

Even Michigan admits most texts were not related to the sign stealing scheme.
However, most is not "nothing".

No. Michigan says none were related to the illegal sign stealing scheme.

Ohhh. Michigan's narrative, not the NCAA's. Got it.

Well a Michigan leaker says there are some.

BTW I'm sure you've told this forum on multiple occasions that Michigan can't publically comment on the case.
Which is it? :headscratch:

lol. No they don’t?

This is from the yahoo sports report that got leaked the full Michigan response. Michigan can’t publicly comment.

So Michigan's using leakers to try and stay ahead of the investigation.
They're also establishing a hopeful plea bargain.
Not a bad tactic really.

Those crack Michigan lawyers, en sech.

Don’t trust anything from Yahoo

The only truth is that the truth isn’t out yet.

Yahoo has been leaking a good chunk of story from the start. I think they have someone in the ncaa leaking everything to them, including Michigans response.

For some reason, I never believe Yahoo. My Grandchild stopped believing in Yahoo before they stopped believing in the Easter Bunny (They saw the Easter Bunny protect Joe Biden).
