Mountain lions around DFW

We have had numerous sightings/reports of Cougars/mountain lions in NH over the last 10 years, but Fish and game officials refuse to acknowledge that they are around. A friend that recently retired from F&G said that until there is high def video or photos of one with identifiable land marks from our state that they will continue to pass off the reports as mis-identified Bobcats or large dogs. They do not want to alarm the people.

I'm certain that I saw one 5 years ago in the middle of the night during a blizzard. I was blasting down Liberty Hill Rd. and saw a shadowy figure ahead of me so I slowed down to a crawl and a shift in the wind gave me a terrific view of a 100+ lb cat looking right at me. He stood still for just a moment and then took off into the neighborhood he came out of. This is in Bedford about 6 miles from the center of Manchester and is a pretty populated burb.

Bobcats are all over the place down here, I saw two crossing Montgomery St. at the power lines yesterday afternoon. They looked to be pretty good size 35-40lbs and healthy.

I saw that on MTV Spring Break. Then he did a shot with the horse and broke into "Don't Stop the Party". Man those were the days...
