Muscle cars that turn you on

For those sharing Cudas, the first one I really took interest in was from the TV show Nash Bridges.

You just don't see these colors anymore.

Does remind me of a fairly recent story, where this idiot robbed a bank and used his old ladies Yellow Ford SUV.
FORD EXPLORER SPORT - 109px Image #5 640 × 480
The local Police found 2 Yellow SUV's on the DMV register for that approximate year, make and model, one being salvaged, so they new exactly where to go. Had his old lady just bought a black or white SUV like everyone else in that part of the country, he would have gotten away scott free!

All right, I'll be the one who posts an AMX:

My dad LOVED AMC's for some reason.
YouTube has been throwing me clips of the old Car and Track car show with Bud Lindemann, which is a massive kid of fun corny nostalgia. And old muscle cars.

It sent me down a rabbit hole on the AMC muscle models. The AMX was just fucking amazing all the way across the board. Probably in my top three.

But I leaned a lot about the Rebel AMX too. Very cool beast.

My Daughter's neighbor has this exact same car, year, make, model and rag, in his Garage, and my Son in law, insists it's a Firebird.

He's been begging for me to sell him my 67 Firebird, insisting he will get it 100% in no time (I'm sure he would, he has great resources), and I can drive it whenever I want, as long as we keep it in San Diego. (An hour or two away)

I just look at him, and smile....

He should really KNOW, that I have already bequeathed that machine in our Family Trust to my only Son, right?

The second generation Chevelle SS 396 debuted as the definition of badass

This was my HS car in the late 70's, well... except I didn't have the 396, I had the 69' Malibu 307. It was my first engine rebuild...

My buddy had a 66' or 67', lifted in the rear with some fat tires, it was bad ass!

Man the way the inset rear glass looked when that car was lifted was just amazing!

The '72 'Cuda is awesome, but I prefer the "empty" grille and single headlights on the '70.

Just looks meaner in my opinion.
I hear ya, but seeing that one each week left a sweet spot in my mind. Don't see many convertible Cudas, never around my neck of the woods, so it just stuck out.

Don Johnson is fond of rare cars in his TV shows. I read that there were only 15 made of the ‘Cuda. Anyone know the truth of it?

A buddy of mine had one of these. Cougar XR7

351 Cleveland.
Pretty fast.
Had every option on it.

Turned high 15 quarter mile times, so nothing to write home about.
But it sure was comfortable.

I liked it.

The same buddy that had the Cougar had this before the Mercury.
1971 Plymouth Duster 340
Had bondo in all 4 corners, 3 on the floor, shook you to death, would get up and go.

So light weight. The shaking only made it feel faster.
I think he had it maybe 4 months.

This same color too.

Can't believe it took 4 pages before this beaut was posted

I was getting ready to post this after reading the first few pages, thinking to myself "where the hell is the late 60s Chevelle?!?"

Sidenote: My dad had 70 SS Nova. Guy he bought it from used to race it, had a modified big block in it. I learned to drive stick in that thing...I'm not sure what my dad was thinking. Remember driving a "modern" stick shift for the first time and thinking to myself "holy shit this is easy"

This was my first car in High School...not very fast but it could fit 4 chicks in the back seat.
