Mayo works, especially with bacon and tomato. I pretty much always just go with ketchup and mustard though.
Mustard every time.

Mayo is for tuna/egg/chicken salad. Has no place near a burger and especially fries.
BBQ sauce before mayo.
Gotta have onion, pickles and lettuce. Cheese would be nice.
I can't put pickles next to cheese when making my own? Must be something between the cheese and pickles, preferably meat.

I hate all that of that shit....makes the bun slippery and I have trouble eating the burger as intended .......
All of the above. Made some smash burgers on the Blackstone tonight with some grilled onions and bacon. Good stuff.

But, sometimes I get a hankerin' for delux'ing it up, so I go: lil' bit of mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, catsup. when i do this, i don't include mustard. far as i see it, smushing mustard and catsup together is like the ghostbusters crossing their streams, it's just something you shouldn't do.
and sometimes when i'm feelin' REALLY froggy, i sautee up some mushrooms and onions in butter 'n garlic, throw them sumbitches on a burger with either swiss or provolone, lil mayo and some cotdamned A1. COTDAMN that's a mighty fine hammyburger
