GAME National Championship: Ohio State vs Alabama 8pm ET ESPN

What conferences play 10 game schedules?
its early, meant nine game schedules. Point still stands. Not one thing changed with 13 P5 opponents on the slate of games.

I fell asleep. Did the Suckeyes come back and win big?

If not, I guess Florida was the only real challenge for Bama this season. Lucky bitches.....

I wonder what the argument will be now.

For years all we have heard is that Bama and the SEC should play 10 conference games so they are on a level playing field with other conferences. Bama just showed that playing that 10 game SEC schedule doesn't change anything. I did respect the argument, because it was one that I wanted to see happen, not that I thought it would change things much. Saban showed the SEC, and the naysayers, that it can be done and still win out in convincing fashion. We took the best shot of everyone we faced and slapped them down.

At this point most are just hoping Saban freaking retires already

THey spent the whole injury timeout talking about how it was "another blow to the dline"

Right after Herbstreit said it the first time Fowler immediately doubled down saying "Yea they are already thin there too"

At one point in the game they mentioned "Freshmen Paris Campbell" too. A player who hasnt played for us for 2 years.
I missed that. They actually brought of Paris Campbell ?

Congrats Bama fans. Hell of a teams, historic team and season. Clearly the best team in the nation :suds:

Ryan Day = High School Coach

One thing this proved, this was Michigan's year to beat them; they were terrible.
Bitch, puhlease! You wish you had a coach like Day. You had your chance to play us and your AD backed out of it because he knew Damn well the Buckeyes were ready to drop 70+ on you. Now that Harbaugh got his extension, we will see if he can hang around on the same field next season. Lucky for you, we will be breaking in a new QB. No excuses!

Congrats on your 4 loss season. Truly impressive
And yet still did better than TOSU against the same team.. but not all of us were lucky to only play 5 games either against much better competition.. so there is that

I was amazed by that Bama Oline. We ghost ad no pass rush and Mac Jones had plenty of time to pick apart the defense. I don't know how good he truly is though? Is he another AJ McCarron? I do know that they have the best Oline and by far the best skiled position players. Losing Sarkisian may hurt as well.

Pssh. If I wanted to lose with teams scoring 50+ points on us, I'd have wanted to keep Rich Rod around.

what a great way to wake up

I put more on the D than him. Atrocious gameplan.

Even still Bama wins that game 9 out of 10 at worst.

Few thoughts on this year.
1. This is the most explosive offense in CFB history, and I'd be hard to find anyone that did it better.

2. This defense, got better and better as the year progressed.

3. tOSU is still a really good football team, but with their QB not at 100%, Sermon going out early, and all their losses with COVID, it was an impossible task last night against an Alabama with just two players dinged up (Dickerson and Waddle).

4. Florida was the closet game all year, but even then, they had no way to stop us, and since UF couldn't run the ball, I still think OSU was the best team we played all year.

5. Saban is the GOAT.

6. Having players come back instead of going pro to 'finish the job' is such an overlooked thing. This year Bama had Leatherwood, Smith, and Harris all return to 'finish the job', and look at what happened. Clemson had the same a few years ago when they won it, and I think it just goes to show much important leadership is in this sport.

7. What the absolute hell was OSU doing putting a LB on Smith?

8. Last night, Banks was much better than Wade. Wade was completely clueless more times then he was on point, and why OSU didn't just put Banks on Smith with help is beyond me.

9. Surtain ate Olave's lunch last night, and it was magical.

He is 10 times better than AJ McCarron.
