NCAA still allowing men to participate on women teams

As usual, this thing is really simple:

- Sex is biological, and there are two, with very, very few outliers. Humans are considered bipeds, meaning they walk upright on two legs, making them the only primate that primarily moves this way; this is a defining characteristic of human evolution. If we see someone born with one leg or a leg is amputated, we don't suddenly conclude that humans are now considered unipeds. Exceptions don't disprove the rule.

- I can accept that gender is a social construct that can be on a spectrum. But believing one to be the gender other than that they were born with is a mental disorder, and it was diagnosed as such until recently. Gender dysphoria.

- It should be continued to be dealt with as a mental disorder.

- The USA is the only country in the world that allows the mutilation of minors to "resolve" their mental issue. The only one. We shouldn't be one.

- If I am meeting someone who is holding themselves out to be the gender other than what they look like, I will be respectful and call them Mr. or Mrs., whichever way they are trying to go - because I am a nice guy and not an asshole.

- If I accidentally don't call someone the gender they think they are, I will not be shamed—it wasn't on purpose. Accidents happen when you hear someone who looks like a woman sounding like a man. I have better things to do in my life than to try to figure out someone's perceived gender—I've made that mistake with a client on the phone, and I didn't care.

- Men acting like women should not participate against women in sports. We divided women and men into different categories for sports and have done so for a long, long time. The reasons are obvious and valid then and are valid now.

- I will not use made-up words like "cis," "zir," or "aardvark" to make someone else feel good. I just don't care enough or have enough time to waste on doing so.

It's this simple.

The bolded part seems to be contradictory to the next statement. All rational people know it's a mental disorder, but the idea that it's "on a spectrum" is manufactured trauma that only perpetuates the mental illness.

I don't recall saying men in their 30s aren't athletes and haven't been in the Olympics. If you see a slew of Olympic men competing as men until their 30s and then transitioning and competing with women, let me know. It's extremely disingenuous to act as if this issue is actually involving people in their 30s; it's been entirely younger people.

  • Not all individuals with gender dysphoria experience distress or impairment.

  • Gender non-conforming individuals, who do not identify with the gender assigned to them at birth but do not experience significant distress, are not diagnosed with gender dysphoria.

The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies gender incongruence as a condition, not a mental disorder.

There is a problem with mental disorders coming from people on the west coast.

It’s a disorder that identifies as a condition.

I kind of see where you are going. But I am willing to let people be whatever the heck they want to be. I don't care so long as it doesn't affect others. Some people, who have gender dysphoria, see gender as a spectrum. Why do I care so long as they don't try to impose that on everyone else?

it is a spectrum as some do the hormones but dont have surgery while others do have surgery. some women transitioning to men have top surgery but not full reasignment.

I think that’s where most sensible people are. Be whoever the fuck you want, just leave me and my kids out of it. I don’t care about your pronouns and I don’t want elementary school kids exposed to drag shows or encouraged to change their gender.

Cool then they don't have to try and be in women's sports, and they can wait until they are 18 and make their own decisions on body changes.

Your posts doesn't change anything I said other than you used fancier words. That's the problem ... fancy words when it's a really simple issue like I pointed out.

I refer you back to my post ... don't care. They can do whatever they want so long as they don't foist it on everyone else. Live your life. But stay out of sports, and let the individuals make their decisions when they are of age to do so. See, all good.

Easy peasy.

People who generally say they dont care about someone elses pronouns make a big deal about calling them by the pronouns that fits their own comfort.
drag queen story hour is not a drag show. these are generally hosted at places you would have to bring your kids too. pretty avoidable. PS they aren't encouraging kids to change their gender. they are encouraging them to be who they want to be.

You’re a naive fellow.

I don’t give a shit about pronouns, but I’m not going to be shamed if I use the “wrong” ones. I’m also not going to use a bunch of made up words because someone feels the need to be special.

There are countless examples of people trying to insert drag queens into places where they’ll be around kids and in many cases, the drag queens are either dressed in a way that could expose themselves or the material they use is inappropriate for kids. I have no issue with drag queens. Just keep them away from kids.

how do you mean forcing it? asking to be called they them instead of he or she? to call them by the name they want instead of the one given to them at birth? this isnt any different to me than calling William Swinney "Dabo"

Like i said you dont give a shit about them as long as you can use the ones that make you feel comfortable.

this is a lie and you know it. if they were exposing themselves or using inappropriate material these things would have been shut down a long time ago not growing.
scare tactics talking points with no real merit.

Except if you are looking at a document and call him “William”, you aren’t going to get a bunch of wokesters trying to cancel you for deadnaming him.

No, most of us who say we don't care don't care until you do things that affect us. Then we care. Don't change kids' bodies when they can't consent, don't compete in sports, and stay out of women's spaces where you make them uncomfortable. That's it. It's not hard unless you try to make it so.

Why should I care about the comfort of some person I don’t know over my own? Why do I have to cater to them?

You enjoy your drag shows. Keep them the fuck away from my kids.
