the biggest credit to Scheyer is that Duke still feels like Duke without Coach K.

it's the same exact program. not an easy feat to accomplish. kudos to him. having the deep pockets and connections certainly help.

Your point is right. But Id say they are even still slightly less Duke just in that this team to me at least is much less hateablee too.

Maybe its the lack of K effect. But this DUke team is really fun to watch.

feel like the Zion team was also fun to watch. it's comical to compare and contrast the succession plans at both Duke and UNC. Duke had an actual plan, Roy used his power and popularity to force his guy onto the AD.
 
There's been much better Duke teams on paper obviously, but this team has very good complimentary pieces.

Plus Houston isn't playing that great
 
Both teams have come out white hot to start the 2nd half.

This is one of the best teams of the last 30 years no matter the program ha.
 
This game is plenty physical...and the refs are letting them play for the most part

they have the highest kenpom efficiency rating dating back to 1999. on paper, this Duke team is one of the greatest ever.

Hard to say because the ACC was so weak this year.

On paper, they weren't supposed to be this good.

Duke has had better mixes of freshmen and returnees.

But this team has a lot of chemistry
