You guys played some good ball today.
We sucked.

No we didn’t. We had no business being in that game. Too many fucking dumb mistakes. And our special teams struck yet again.

Our defense gave us a chance to win and our o-line and special teams shot the bed.

It does give me a little confidence going into conference play though. But that assumes that the mistakes get fixed. And you know what they say about assumptions…

I have to laugh at it being sold as "Something to build on" by coaches and the media.

I remember hearing that in Frost's first year (2018) when they started (0-6) and beat Minnesota 53-28 for his first win at Nebraska.

I'm not seeing 4 more 'possible' wins here.

@ Michigan St
Northwestern
Michigan
@ Minnesota
Purdue
Ohio St
@ Wisconsin
Iowa

Northwestern and Purdue?

2nd half Nebraska takes 4 of those.

This team only responds when they're being relentlessly screamed at for laying an egg.

Unfortunately they're getting a pass for playing OU close instead of being criticized for laying yet another egg. Therefore, this will likely be a celebratory week of Xbox, Little Caesars $5 Hot & Now's, and banging Susy Rottencrotch.
I expect they'll get crushed in East Lancing, the screaming will start again, they'll respond by beating Northwestern, then get crushed by Michigan the week after that, then beat either Minnesota or Purdue but not both.
Wash, Rinse, Repeat.

Yup!!

If you look back at their schedules after the (0-6) start in 2018, it's truly a pattern of laying an egg after wins.

Losing the opener to Illinois is the only one that's unexplainable to me. Duh fuq were they celebrating the week prior to that one? LOL

I was looking through some statistics and check this out:

OU has thrown 112 passes so far this year.

OU has only had TWO passes that have gone for more than 30 yards this year.

Spencer Rattler has had ONE pass for more than 30 yards. Caleb Williams threw the other one.

OU is averaging 7.81 yards per pass.

On the last td by Nebraska the ball was moving when it hit the ground. Shit happens.

Just an incredible week of practice lol.

“I just want to address the Nebraska fan base. I understand that you're growing impatient. I understand that it has been tough to watch this rebuild. But I would just encourage you by stating that that team is really good that I saw on the field today. This game came down, genuinely, to special teams. Nebraska, you lost the game because of two missed field goals and a blocked extra point. That's it. It's a seven-point game. You did enough to beat Oklahoma on the road. They're the No. 3 team in the country. So it's closer than you think. This team (Nebraska) is way better than they were even last year when Gus and I called their game against Ohio State. They're tougher, they're cleaner. It's at that moment where they're going to have a tipping point to winning some of those games." - Fox broadcaster Joel Klatt after the game yesterday
