Nebraska Parents Sue the B1G

Also, ya'll notice that Iowa is shutting down some sports? I don't like Iowa, but their athletes don't deserve this.

Oh we're getin football back.

Well... threaten to if the B1G doesn't release the necessary information that called for this. Clocks ticking, they have until noon on Monday... listen to the great Clay Travis tell it.

Before I listen to what "the great" Clay Travis has to say is he associated with the Huskers in any way? Wondering if what he's saying is completely unbiased. If he's associated with the school don't care to watch.

Nope. Not to my knowledge. Born in Tennessee, went to Vandy. Talks about all sports... do you really not know who Clay Travis is?

He has a show called Outkick the Coverage. I think he is on FoxSports radio now, but not entire sure any more.

hope they succeed, there was never any reason to cancel in the first place.

Was just wondering. I'll try to check some more of it. 12+ minutes is a bit long though. Kinda busy doing nothing right now, that's time consuming. Can you summarize? I heard in the very beginning of it he thinks people are being lied to. You could save me some time though. In that clip does he explain why he thinks people are being lied to and what proof does he have?

He laid out a good description. on what's likely to happen. I thought his reasoning very sound.

He didnt say anything about lying, he focused more on the results of a lawsuit and how the commissioner and presidents are going to be in a pickle trying to explain how the decision to cancel was reached.

I listened to the second clip. Basically saying the only possible explanation of why it ISNT safe to play outdoor football in Oct - Dec as opposed to playing indoors in January has to be to do with the election and has nothing to do with player safety.

LOL.. sounds like helicopter parents..

Why would they sue? They are guaranteed not to have a losing season.

What's the odds that the BIG conference will be policing Nebraska really hard from here on out?

God, I hate that theory.

"Oh, hey OSU. Go ahead and bite this $110 million bullet"

"What? Why the fuck would we do that?"

"FUCK TRUMP!"

"Oh, haha.... You bet!"

Not that I subscribe to that politics theory, but the football budget at Ohio State is minuscule compared to the whole. They have a 5 billion dollar endowment and don't need football to survive not matter how much we football fans want it to be true.

The people making this decision care lots more about politics than they do football.

One does have to wonder how much more will be known about the "unknown long term risk" of myocarditis in January than is known right now. . . given that no one will have survived Covid for more than 9 months or so.

My personal theory is they have no intention of letting them play in the winter/spring and are setting the players up to pull the rug out from under them yet again.

I agree with your last part. They are hoping that something comes along to cure it or something, but are basically planning on not playing this year. I'd like someone to give me a good reason why universities would be pissing away all that money because they don't like someone. Also, if this dumbass plan would work, what it would benefit them in the long term?
