But I think we can all agree that in comparison to accessing alcohol or drugs, porn has historically been much easier to gain access too. I am thinking of children in this case.

when we were growing up, I'd say porn was harder to acquire than alcohol. But sure, with the internet today and kids having phones/tablets, porn is pretty easy to access if parents don't do their job to lock down devices and networks.. and even then there's always ways around controls should somebody have the want to do so.

When testing out my network I was showing my wife how I locked everything down so I googled "porn" on my kid's laptop and we were both shocked that the browser got around my controls... fucking ipv6 routing ignoring my ipv4 controls.

Obviously young minds are fragile and easily warped... look how many of those little fuckers put a tide pod in their mouths... so I go through steps to protect my own kid's mind.

Yes, it's the expectation of fantasy that the wife can't live up to. Really it's lack of communication of wants and needs by the husband.

I honestly need to do more. It's about time to completely separate my networks in the house. I'd like everything my kid touches on a separate logged router with much better controls than my current netgear. But then her phone has Verizon access as well, so devices themselves need their own controls. I really should install an MDM on her phone along with the current parental controls.

There's massive discussions about this on the YBOP site, guys trying to lock themselves away from porn but if you want it, it's virtually impossible to stop yourself or another person. Absolutely take precautions with the kids but there's only so much you can do, unfortunately.

lets just say I'm not going to make it easy. But if she can get around my controls, I guess she deserves the win.
