NFL HOF inductees announced

Lenny Harris's slash line as a pinch hitter was .264/.317/.337, that really does not seem like a good comparison.
That line would be Allstar worthy on the Rangers last year.

KO stats are worthless these days anyhow with the new touchback rules. Hester is going to get in only if the committee that looks at prior players to value their stats against players at that time puts him in. Returners these days are afterthoughts and that will wrap Hester up.
Right...the touchback rules that were put in place because of Hester.

Pretty sure they are in place because of concussions and the kickoff/punt returns being the most dangerous play. Also why the wedge was banned.

Do you really think that Devin Hester's statistical record as a punt returner is on the same level as a .264/.317/.337 batting line in MLB?
Adam Sandler Yes GIF

Same value.

When you say that are you talking about 162 games a season of .264/.317.337 or putting up that line over fewer than 100 PH appearances a season? Because while I wasn't clear about it, as you know we are talking about the latter.

It doesn’t matter. Fringe role at best either way

You have to admit that Hester played his "fringe role" incredibly well though. Batting .264/.317.337 as a pinch hitter does not mean that you are playing a fringe role at an excellent level, it means that you're playing a fringe role at a subpar level.
