Series Thread NLCS- Braves vs Dodgers

@Holdsclaw Driver whats your opinion of Freddie Freeman? He looks pretty damn Good/Clutch to me.

I've enjoyed him since he came up to the bigs. For a while, I saw him as the Braves Mark Grace, but in recent years especially, he's shown a whole lot more power than Grace. I REALLY hope a deal is worked out soon to keep him in a Braves uniform until he retires....I just don't want that deal to be detrimental to the club & keep them from spending elsewhere.

But no work tomorrow because of a fatality in South Carolina(RIP to a brother miner), so I might go ahead and finish the job.
I haven't heard about this. I live in McCormick Co., SC, just across the border from Lincoln Co., GA. Can you elaborate some?

Just leave enough to sign a competent starting pitcher to go with Fried and Anderson. Soroka probably won't be ready until late next season
If it's 162 games, I'm prepared to go with a slew of young guys & use money to ink Ozuna & extend Freeman & Swanson

Fried
Anderson
Wright
Wilson
Ynoa
Muller
How was your trip to Edisto?
Not sure what you're talking about here. I've barely ever heard of Edisto, much less gone there. Small community in Orangeburg Co., right??

While the Dodgers obviously have an advantage with regards to starters tonight, I don't think its that big on paper. Mays can be pretty electric, but he hasn't pitched more than 2 innings in over 3 weeks. Unless he is having quick innings, I'm not sure he can be stretched out to go 5-6 innings. This may be a 3-4 inning outing for him. And we've seen the success the Braves offense has had against the Dodger pen.

Lead man pulled up behind a 100 ton haul truck with no communication, haul truck backed over lead man's pickup with leadman still inside.

My opinion that Max Muncy is the biggest douchebag in baseball got more validated last night. MLB Network just showed that he was staring Chris Martin down for getting out of that major jam in the 7th inning. Like that fucker doesn't celebrate every home run, regardless of score, and when you celebrate a home run and your is losing, that's a real bad look(game 2)

I'm sitting on pins & needles waiting to hear the pitching plan for the Braves tonight. Anyone know what type of deadline MLB gives for managers to announce their starting pitchers?

I’ve got a really hard time believing they are going to resign Ozuna and Freddie, as well as sign Bauer. That’s all big contracts, even if Bauer decides to go the one year contract again, that’s a lot of money on the books. Even with the friendly contracts of Acuña and Ozzie, Braves never have this many big contracts. If they go out for a starter, it’ll be a mid level guy at best
Yeah Bauer is wishful thinking. But resigning Ozuna and working on a Extension for Freddie should be 100% doable.....if Liberty Media wants to continue winning

man, a good portion of the media is making all types of excuses for Kershaw.

he gave up 4 ER in 5 IP. That is pretty bad.

Yeah, the Dodgers reddit is pissed they didn't pull him after the 5th inning, but his pitch count was manageable, and he's their 32 year old, first ballot HOFer veteran ace with the most playoff experience out of anyone on the team, you're not pulling him after 5. The wheels came off in the 6th because he wasn't making good pitches, and really he's lucky to have entered the 6th tied 1-1, he was giving up a lot of rockets hit right at people. Those rockets started finding holes(along with a slow roller and some flairs mixed in)

I wonder if we are wearing the Red Jerseys tonight since it’s Friday

Holy Fuck, I’ve never seen the media try to push someone that hits .270 and was awful the last Month as much as they do Titties Jr.

meanwhile, the Braves had a rookie that went 6 innings and gave up 1 ER

the spin on Kershaw's performance is comical
