Series Thread NLDS, Braves vs Phillies

Not a good start. Wheeler looks sharp and didn’t have to throw many pitches. Wright is gonna have to be on, and at the very least the offense is gonna have to drive up Wheeler’s pitch count to get to the pen.

Might consider pitching around Harper for the rest of the series though

27 pitches is all it took to retire the Braves entire lineup one time through. Dude might throw a perfect game and a Maddux
 
Wright only has 48 pitches through 4, but God damn Wheeler has been one efficient motherfucker tonight.

Wright also got real lucky against Harper and Castellanos. Threw a meatball to Harper that he fouled off, and Castellanos probably got screwed by the cool, damp air

At least no perfect game and they have Wheeler averaging 10 pitches per inning now
 
This is a really good ball game so far. Hatred for the Braves set aside, we’re watching a gem right now.
