Even as he got older I could never turn down watching Don.

You get to see the smarts of Dons act here. Racist? Sure, even a bit so at the time. But when he just whether the poor reaction and tells Leno “when the bell rings, go to history” it’s very smart. He’s telling him in his own way to keep in mind what history is and mind the guy with more experience.

Nah as in Rickles shouldn’t have gotten the show? I loved the man....but I can agree. His whole act was good in measured doses, but five nights a week....nope.
Not that I loved Leno in the spot. I never did and end up liking him so much more talking about cars on YouTube now.

I watched wrestling a lot as a kid and more to the point, Chris Benoit was one of my favorites. From all accounts, he loved his family and none of that made sense. Wish there was a way to know what happened to him to snap like that. I think they mention CTE, but at the time it was all about roid rage nonsense.
It’s funny to me. It was just around the time CTE started to become of awareness. Sports like this that viciously fought steroid accusations in the past just rolled over and said “ok, it was roids”.
Suspicious. I’m sure it was some level of roids and CTE, and I want to say I remember the autopsy showing evidence of CTE.
