OK, your Starting Quarterback has a season ending Injury on the first play of the first game. What happens.

I cry... and hope for Haarberg or Smothers to step up big.

Martinez will qualify for AARP before he leaves Nebraska. He is on the Dwayne Haskins degree track.
....I don't get it. Haskins was only here 3 years

You know, it seems something like this happens every year.

I know it's in the back of your minds.

Given Kelly's track record, our backup QB is probably better anyway. I don't think our QB play will be the reason we win/lose games. 12-0 ceiling, 9-3 floor this year IMO.
ND and Wisconsin seems interchangeable this year. The Jack Coan Bowl will be fun.

We will just put in one of our next two 5* recruits.

wait.....
What??????

We insert true freshman Jalen Milroe and go back to the offense we ran with Jalen Hurts. We would still go 12-0 but Idk if we could beat Georgia, Clemson, Ohio State, or Oklahoma with Milroe
Milroe is nothing like Hurts which is a great thing.. He can sling it and will hang in the pocket unlike Hurts who automatically starts to run if his 1st read is covered.

I've heard about these mythical creatures. Are they like unicorns or do they really exist?
It’s when you combine the stars of three recruits. Don’t believe the lies

Incoming freshman is a stud, but lack of time in the system hurts a lot.
Probably still favored to win every game though.

Not something you want to see, but I don't think we go 6-6 or anything.

Probably not the case with every team.

For a team with a QB battle going into the fall and one of the knocks on the projected starter is he gets beat up, it's not that big of a problem. Baby Gundy is our no. 3 and supposedly he would have had way more offers if not for his last name so depth is nice there.

The bigger problem is installing the offense to fit the qb. Sanders has a cannon for an arm but rocks in his brain. But he can improvise and runs like a gazelle in the open field. Illingworth throws like Manning but is immobile in the pocket. We have two guys I have alot of confidence in but they have completely different strengths.

Last time this happened ... Eason was injured on the second set of downs in 2017 ... true freshman Jake Fromm stepped in and we got beat in OT of the NC game.

If it happens this year, we are playing Clemson. Stetson Bennett would come in for that game, and then going forward there would be a battle for the QB between Bennett, Carson Beck and Brock Vandagriff. I suspect we would lose the Clemson game unless the QB really balled out, or our D really stepped up. Really have no idea what happens after that. The toughest game we have is UF in game 8.

I expect CJ Stroud to be the starter

so he just gets replaced by Kyle McCord, also a 5* though he's a true freshmen, which would make things interesting considering the first 2 games are against Minnesota & Oregon.

What should happen is Brock Vandagriff gets put in and the coaches let him out his talent on display instead of turtling

What will happen is Stetson Bennett will be out in the game and we’ll run an offense straight out of 1950 again.

Kirby needs no say so on anything that happens on offense. He’s too conservative, and a handoff up the middle is his favorite play

We've seen this movie. Young guy steps in, stubs his toe early in a non-conference game but recovers. Then, against our rival, he breaks his leg and a guy that no one thought would ever play for us wins the B1G CCG, beats Bama in the Sugar Bowl then wins the natty.

EZ PEEZY.
